WCPR Birthday : Jojo

Happy first birthday Jojo! We are so glad you have joined the WCPR family and that you are turning 1 today. Jojo has been absolutely shinning out in group and has been making friends left and right! He is always down for a cuddle or to chase staff around. Everyday Jojo comes in for his day of daycare he puts a smile on our face so we are more than happy to celebrate your first revolution around the sun !

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Finleigh
Well Folks, This is a Two Fer as it is also his birthday today! Finleigh is a dandy boy of an Irish setter is turning Five. Handsome as can be and he knows it He is so charming and charismatic. He will give anyone a hug by leaning on them., particularly if he is muddy. he loves the mud. He also loves to bark at planes or aero traffic in general. He loves to cuddle and asks for pets and rubs every chance he gets. He is also an excellent model and will pose in pictures for treats. Finleigh boy you are pet of the week.

WCPR's Pet of the Week : Maddie

Yes friends the pet of the week is none other than the Golden Girl Maddie!
This sweet baby girl is a staff favorite. She is the best girl. she even walks herself leash in mouth!! Maddie loves to do what we call water aerobics where she gets into our pool to do a singular lap then she gets out. it is the cutest thing! After which, if your not too careful she will try to walk in-between your legs to towel dry. she prefers that luxurious method to the shake n' dry. If she cannot find a way to use you to dry off, she will proceed to squeegee the water out of her coat using the fence. When play is done she is happy to receive towel cuddles in her kennel. Maddie is also very active in our events at WCPR. Last year she participated in our costume contest and was Little Red Riding hood. She is a gentle girl who gets along with everyone. She makes a great pet of the week wouldn't you agree?!

WCPR Birthdays: Eliza
Eliza the shorkie is turning 3 today. Eliza can only be described as a tiny black firecracker of fur! Everyday she comes in with more energy than a nuclear power plant. We are also convinced that her closest and wardrobe is more extensive than that of Carrie Bradshaw . She comes in everyday in a different outfit. We are so happy to be Celebrating her third Birthday today!

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Peanut

Peanut is an incredibly confident and energetic pit mix . Her two favorite playstyles are chasing and wrestling. Peanut has a sister named Lola who she looks out for in group. What a good sister! She and her sister come almost every week. She is pictured in this photo, exhibiting her "teefs". The next time you see her, wave hello!

WCPR's Pet Of The Week: Jojo
Jojo is a 10 month old Shih Tzu who just recently made it into group! Jojo can often be seen rocking a water spout ponytail via rubber band to keep his luxurious hair out of his face. He is energetic and playful. his mon brings in a small bag of treats everyday to help us continue with Jojo's training. he is almost as food motivated as he is affection motivated. He loves pets and belly rubs making him best friends with the people around him. he continues to build friendships with the other dogs in group as well.

Happy Birthday Winston!
Winston is a border collie who is turning seven years old! Winston is very talented! he can catch a frisbee in his mouth! He is very sweet and listens very well. He and his sisters sometimes participate in our events! last year for Halloween they came as cows! and were perfect posers! Winston loves sticks and hopes that you throw on for him. In true border collie fashion he likes to herd his friends out in group. We think he would be an awesome participant in sheep trials ! Happy Birthday baby boy!

In honor of Memorial Day, our offices and reception will be closed. Staff does remain in the building to take care of dogs that are boarding. There will be no Daycare , drop offs or pickups today. Have a lovely Memorial Day.

Happy Birthday Sweet Rey!!!

It's Rey's Birthday today! We are so happy we get to celebrate Rey today because she is such a sweet girl! This Pitbull baby girl is one of our group dogs and she is turning four today. Rey loves to play with her friends outside in large field as opposed to the pool area. She spends lots of time choosing to walk beside staff on our hiking trails as well. Rey is a very social sweet girl who frequently comes to daycare and participates in our events. You should have seen her dominate this year at our Easter Egg hunt! You go baby girl! This sweet girl and her parents are very active on our social media page and they are always participate in celebrating every baby we post which is the most wonderful thing. they even brought in goodie bags of treats for all of Rey's friends !Happy Birthday Rey!

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Meme

We are convinced that meme is not actually a dog but rather a human. The way she looks at those who speak to her is as if she understands every word you say. Not only that but she is a baby girl princess. she comes in twice a week not smelling like a dog but rather baby powder and vanilla. Regardless she comes home smelling like the playground. Well a girl has gotta have fun. That's the whole purpose of daycare. In true poodle fashion meme gets groomed frequently. She has the cutest ball of fur at the end of her tail and comes in with bows on her ears! We love it . Meme has so many friends at daycare and we see why. she's the sweet, polite and pretty girl at school!

Happy Birthday Dusty!
Dusty is turning five today. Every time baby boy comes in he grins from ear to ear trying to drag his mom in because he is so excited to see us! And We are excited to see him! This dog has a lot of energy! We try our best to get it out but it seems endless. Dusty is an all around happy boy. He may not be a husky but we are 100% sure he could pull a sled., Maybe he should enter a tug of war competition whilst he is at it!

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Daisy
Daisy is a two year old retriever mix ...we think. Whatever she is, she is cute as can be! She plays incredibly well with others and loves being in group. she is energetic and makes friends quickly. She comes to daycare regularly with her brother Bandit. Daisy is a good sister and makes a point to include bandit in play as he is a much more introverted buddy. she loves to run and bump in play and has even been known to wrestle around with her friends which we think is so much fun to watch. A sweet girl that lets her friends win from time to time. Daisy makes a spectacular choice for Pet of the Week.

WCPR Birthdays: Dante
Happy Birthday Dante, this sweet boy is turning 10! Dante is one of our group daycare babies! He is very polite and gentle. We love when he comes in to board on the rare occasion too! Dante and his parents are very active in our dog loving community and we adore them for it! Last year he came in as a pumpkin! We will repost the picture because it is absolutely adorable!
Happy birthday sweet boy! We can't wait to see what you will be this year!

WCPR Birthday: Mr. Charlie Horse!
This Great Dane Boy is turning five. He loves “coming to school”! Charlie horse belongs to one of the staff over at Chester Animal Clinic. Charlie was rescued by a local Great Dane rescue in VA and was adopted by Elyse! Charlie Horse gets along with many of the dogs in group, he particularly favors the little spicy pups.

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Jackstraw
Jackstraw is a total ladies man of a terrier. There isn't a doggie in group this five year old hasn't flirted with. Don't let his mild mannered temperament fool you. If your not too careful you too will find yourself at the end of one of his doggie kisses. This little man has plenty of charisma and looks to boot! He puts a smile on our face every time we see his name on the client boarding list! Such a highly qualified candidate for pet of the week!

Happy Birthday Lucy!
This sweet baby girl Is turning four years old today! Lucy is a staff favorite and can often be seen hamming it up with the girls. She loves many things: treats, cuddles , her blue dinosaur and almost anything can trigger her zoomies which we absolutely love! She is well trained and has excellent manners. She gets the most excited when her dad is the one to pick her up from daycare. We have a feeling secret treats are involved.

WCPR's Pet of the Week: Vader

He is a six year old german sheppard with a lot of energy and we mean A LOT! He is most passionate about tennis balls. In fact we always bring at least two balls with us for his playtimes . He must have a ball in his mouth at all times. If he does not have a tennis ball he will tell you about it. He will also be telling customer service. Vader was an active participant in our costume contest last year; he was superman. He wore a cape and everything!

Happy Birthday Gordy! Gordy is a sweet energetic aussie who is turning three today. Gordy's mom is the operations manager and head Veterinary technician next door at Chester Animal clinic. Gordy loves many activities including swimming. He loves playing with his friends especially his brother Norman. Monica (one of our staff members) calls him the sunshine because he brings so much joy and light to everyone that works and attends daycare.

Happy Birthday Cooper! Cooper is a five-pound teacup Yorkie who loves spending time out in the play field with us. He also loves to be held and cuddled. He is a very smart boy! Though he may be tiny in size, he is BIG in personality! He loves talking to staff and gives his opinions freely; (constructive criticism- of course)

WCPR' Pet of the Week : Harley

Harley is a 6 year old Shih Tzu mix. He runs and manages WCPR, or at least he thinks he does. After all his mom works at Chester Animal Clinic so that means he is in charge. And you better never dream about getting clippers near him! He's looking at you Jessica!
Harley loves to sit on the laps of staff and receive attention. He is a smart boy who grabs onto his leash when its time to go home.
