A sweet morning drinking session in the sunshine, featuring PB π
Within hours of intake, every animal in our care is treated for fleas, dewormed, given a bath, and then tucked into a just cozy bed to get all settled in.
This is a video taken of one of our recent kittens getting their intake bath! The video is sped up, but please know that they are bathed gently and carefully to minimize stress, while also trying to keep it quick.
As a rule, cats and kittens don't normally need baths because they can groom themselves just fine. In cases like this kittens often need a bath to get all the gross stuff off of them, like fleas and dirt. Baths should only be done when necessary, should be quick and as stress free as possible, and should be done on kittens who are medically stable. π©΅
While I was busy cleaning up the kitten room this morning I turned around... And found the spring babies having a blast with the roll of paper towels π
These 2 crack me up.
Theo loves dogs, and Finn is pretty good about being gentle.
If you're looking for a dog who is good with cats and other dogs, Finn is your guy.
Theo is not available for adoption π
Everyone always wants a dog that's good with cats, and if that includes you, we can confidently say Finn is your guy!
He is a puppy, meaning he can still overdo it sometimes, but being raised in a foster home with 3 cats of varying levels of patience means he's definitely learning how to live with cats!
Theo, pictured here, loves to play! He'll wrestle and bat him all day long. The other 2 cats in the home are quick to tell him to leave them alone, and he's usually pretty good about taking the hint.
*Necessary to keep the trolls away: Finn is always supervised with the other animals, and I'm always nearby to step in if he's not catching on.
