Tiny Paws RVA is a 501(c)3 foster based animal rescue in the Richmond, Virginia area focusing on neonatal kittens and puppies.

We place animals in foster homes, have them vetted and fixed, then adopt them into loving homes.

Hi y'all!

We need a (local, Richmond based) foster for a couple little kittens.
They were being given away for free on Facebook and it was an urgent situation.

All supplies provided, all medical care covered (you'll need to transport them to our vet and back), and we handle adoptions.

You just need to provide a bedroom or bathroom they can hang out in for a month, and a willingness to snuggle and play with some cute kittens as much as you can.

😺Sparrow (l) and Funnel Cake (r) are two sweet boys who would love their forever homes. They aren't therapists, but they moonlight as emotional support animals. 😁

🐾Both boys are fully vetted (including vaccines and FIV/FELV negative) and neutered.

Kittens must be indoor only, keep their claws, and single kittens must be adopted to a home that already has another active cat OR in pairs. Priority is given to adopters looking to adopt 2 kittens.

We're coming into the new year with plenty of kittens still looking for their homes!

🐱Today we're highlighting ANASTASIA!🐱

This sweet little lady was an accidental intake. We were at a family's house to collect 2 stray kittens when Anastasia appeared. She chipped and flirted at me and there was no way we could let her stay outside!

😺 Anastasia would be happiest as a SINGLE KITTY.
Yes, you read that right.
If you're looking for a single cat, Anastasia is your lady. While she would most likely get along with another cat after a *very* long, *very* slow, and *very* patient introduction period, overall she doesn't really seem to love other cats. She's cool with dogs that respect her space, but she really just wants to be the princess she knows she is.

She isn't super snuggly (it comes in short bursts on her own terms) but she is social. She chatters and chirps often, wants to know what you're doing, and LOVES to play. A wand toy is her favorite thing in the world!

🎉 First adoption of 2026 & last adoption of 2025! 🎉

Little Bear is going home to a sweet couple (with another kitty, of course!) who is fine giving her time to warm up at her own speed.
Dorothy & Rose are going to have a giant new house to zip and zoom all around in!

Happy New Year!

We're coming into the new year with plenty of kittens still looking for their homes!

🐱Today we're highlighting FARFALLE!🐱

This sweet little lady is pure baby girl energy. She came to us from Farmville where she was a shy kitten fighting a rough URI but she's blossomed into the healthiest, best little cat.

Farfalle is a great mix of dainty little princess and total weirdo. She is incredibly social, and would absolutely do well with tiny humans (as long as they respect kitties!). She's social with people and humans, and gets along great with the other cats in her foster home.

🐾All Tiny Paws RVA kittens are treated for fleas and parasites, tested for FIV/FELV, receive age appropriate vaccines, and are fixed before going home.

🐾Kittens must be indoor only, keep their claws, and single kittens must be adopted to a home that already has another active cat.

What a year it's been!

It was a hard year, full of hard stories, sick kittens, rising costs, and more people in need.

But it was also a year of so many sweet puppies and kittens saved, laughter and fun had, and lots of learning, snuggles, and new adventures!

We had the biggest number of intakes yet (tied with one other year... Maybe we'll beat it next year!? 🤞🏼) and the biggest number of adoptions in a year so far!

One thing's for certain... I'm lucky to get to do this work, and I'm grateful that I have the best friends, family, fosters, volunteers, and supporters around us to do it. Because when I say we couldn't do it without the help we get...I mean it.

Here's to a great 2025, and an even better 2026 for everyone.

We've had a bunch of adoptions happening and I've slacked on the photos...oops! 🫣

Here are some of our happy new families from the recent month (and last month, etc).

Buster got a new best friend, sweet WILLOW was adopted to the best family, Mac & Cheese went home together, Cookie Monster gets his very own human to love him, the honey boys are now Bruce & Charlie, and Merida & Kristoff went home together!

Maybe in the new year I'll get better about posting adoption photos in a timely fashion. Or maybe I'll be busy saving too many creatures and the posts will be late again. 😂 All the matters is that these sweet babies are loved and cherished.

Hey friends, we are coming to you today with a big ask. We are looking for some unicorn adopters.

🐱Meet bonded brothers PB & Jaye.
PB is the tabby and Jaye is orange and white.

These boys are pretty perfect.

🐱They love laser pointers and cat tunnels, and batting around balls. They eat together (fancy feast and Purina one) and sleep together and love their cat fountain. Their requests also include a bowl of water for playing in.

They're friendly and snuggly, and all around great personalities. Their foster mom sings their praises every day!

❤️‍🩹Unfortunately, PB and Jaye both have Feline Leukemia.

Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is a retrovirus belonging to the coronavirus subfamily. FeLV only affects cats and cannot be spread to humans or other animals. Cats with FELV can live a shortened lifespan, but with quality care these boys can still live a happy life. This means indoor only, low stress, and lots of love and careful attention to any changes. It will probably mean an extra vet visit here and there.

🐾We are looking for the right adopters willing to open their hearts to these boys.

We are looking for an adopter who already has a cat (or cats) with FELV, or who have no other cats in the home to adopt the boys together.

🐾All Tiny Paws RVA kittens are treated for fleas and parasites, receive age appropriate vaccines, and are fixed before going home.

Kittens must be indoor only and keep their claws. As a bonded pair, PB & Jaye MUST be adopted together. No exceptions.

YES! THIS SUNDAY, 12/21, from 4-6 pm come join us at RUBY SCOOPS to do a little last minute Christmas shopping and support tiny paws rva.

We'll have shirts, beanies, mugs, ornaments, and more treasures for someone you love, or yourself! (We don't judge 😉). Everything goes right back into the rescue so we can put a little money in the bank account as we work to save more babies. Plus, this is the LAST DAY of the Ruby Scoops season, so buy some ice cream to get you through the months they're closed.

🐱We have 6 of the most perfect little kittens that are up for adoption! These kittens are a perfect mix of sweet and sassy, playful and snuggly, and basically just what you need in your life.

🐱Funnel Cake, Kettle Corn, Jane Goodall, Little Bear, Dorothy, & Rose have all been added to our adoption page, joining our kittens that are already waiting on their forever homes.
