During our Games Meet Up, we work to build on our skills by mixing them up with fun challenges and games.
For tonight’s Games Meet Up, we have a relay race course that combines behavior skills and obedience with incorporated challenges such as place bed, spatial pressure, ball and spoon, paper plate recall, molding our dogs into position, duration, distance, distraction and no talk challenges! This course can be modified to on and off leash.
*In the video I call this a recall course—it is one of our relay race courses for class tonight.
Pack Walk tonight at 6:15pm, meet in front of the KJ’s in Chetek.
Should be a beautiful night for a walk!

When the humans don’t put toys out into play group, you gotta take matters into your own…paws.
Did this make you smile? Check the comments for some more Maggie action.
This is how my Monday is going. 😆
Walked in the house after dropping Vivien off at school to see this box on the counter. Opened it up to a surprise.
When I told Austin that was a cruel joke he tried to defend himself by saying that the box had nature’s candy. To be fair, it’s fresh from his Dad’s garden and they are delicious!
In all seriousness, Monday isn’t off to a bad start and I hope it’s off to a good start for you!
Reminder, no Pack Walks or Socials tonight. Instead we will be doing Pack Walk on Thursday on the Red Cedar Trail at 6:15pm, meeting behind Goodwill.
Yesterday morning we had a nest of snapping turtle eggs hatch out. This meant find them and bringing them closer to the creek.
It is so much fun finding these little guys and helping them out.
If you have multiple dogs, or multiple pets, can they wait their turn patiently and politely while you go around giving each individual a treat?
I love this video of a client giving her horses and her dogs all a treat. They wait nicely for their turn without shoving into her or being obnoxious, which makes an already nice moment even better.
The work that we do with dogs isn’t about teaching them tricks or trying to control them through obedience. Instead, we work with our animals so that we can have a mutually beneficial relationship that allows for mutually enjoyable interactions that aren’t frustrating, annoying, or obnoxious.
Yes, it takes time, patience and energy to get here. But the results are always worth it.
Very glad I was given the opportunity to share this with you guys as it is a good demonstration. ❤️
Pack Walk in Chetek tonight at 6:15pm.
It’s hot outside so make sure you’re dressed for the weather. We will find some shady spots.

Every social walk during our Recall & Relevance Meet Ups will look different depending on the dogs and people, but the goals are typically the same.
We want to help people learn how to support their dog while navigating a social experience, learn how to use long lines or e collars, while working on our relevance, awareness and skills such as recall, back off, and keeping a loose leash.
The dogs and handlers this last Saturday morning rocked it! Several of these dogs have made so much progress in their social skills and confidence.
Here is a short video clip from last Saturday’s Recall & Relevance Meet Up. I took the volume out because I’m quite loud when I’m talking with people.
