City of Chetek Dog Park

City of Chetek Dog Park The City of Chetek Dog Park is three acres where your dog is free to run and play without a leash. Year round fun!
(5)

With an open grassy and tree shaded areas to enjoy the freedom. The park is divided into two sections: small dogs only and all size dogs. In September 2014, a community got together and asked the City of Chetek about a possible dog park. The City gave us use of 3 acres to create a small breed and large breed dog park. That is when we went on the mission and created our Fencing Fundraising Project.

After fundraising for almost 2 years......we officially opened our dog park on August 21, 2016. Although our fencing fundraiser is complete, our fundraising is still on going for a lawn mower, benches and our big dream of a pavilion. We are a 501 (c)(3) organization, so all donations are tax deductible.

A message from Adam Staff DVM: Hello FB followers! I would like to give everyone a recap of the spring meeting of the dog park board of directors that was held last night. My life is getting a bit hectic these days and even more so in the next couple years. As such, I stepped down as President of the board. I will remain a member of the board and plan on participating as much as I can.
I am incredibly proud of what regular citizens have created in Chetek. It was 8 years ago that Ted Mommsen and Victoria Kutchins planted and nourished an idea that would grow into the wonderful park we now share. I would like to give a special thanks to Joel and Amy Waage, without their tremendous contribution in the mid stages of the project it surely would have withered on the vine.
For the next chapter Don Ippolite, the new board president, will be leading the way. I am confident he, along with the other board members, will make the park better than ever.

Thank you all!

Even though there is still snow on the ground, ticks can be active anytime temperatures rise above 40 degrees. 😲 While enjoying warmer winter temps, be prepared to check you and your pets for ticks! 🐈👀🐕
