Unfortunately we must ask again for assistance from our residents. We need to ask that everyone reduce electric usage as much as possible during the peak heat of the day until further notice. 11a-7p
We want to be transparent and upfront with everyone to explain the situation we currently have so everyone knows we are doing all we can to resolve the issue.
At the substation here in town there is a part called a Reclosure. There is one for each of the 4 power grids, and 1 spare in reserve. Earlier this year we had one fail. We put in our one backup and sent off for it to be refurbished. A couple weeks ago we had another fail, again we put in our spare and sent off the old one to be refurbished. Please note it takes several weeks to months to get this part back. Last night we had a third reclosure fail. So our 4 grids are temporarily running on 3 reclosures until we can get back the one that is currently being refurbished. We are working on rotating out all of them for refurbish this fall and winter.
Please help let people know that does not have facebook!!
