Meet Rojo! A 7mo red heeler from Kip’s litter earlier this year. As most of you know, my puppies always go home with 30 Days of FREE health insurance through Trupanion! Last Tuesday, this sweet boy’s parents dropped him off at the vet for a routine neuter procedure, not knowing a horrific accident was about to happen. He was given an NSAID injection & had a horrible allergic reaction to it. Poor Rojo was hospitalized for 2 days with kidney failure. He was too weak to stand & was refusing food & water. Although a little tired, he returned home a couple days later & is back to himself. When everything was said & done, their bill was $1,600 BUT Trupanion paid $1,100!! How incredibly thankful Rojo’s owners were for continuing to keep him enrolled for health insurance!
