and has spent a majority of her time in Arizona. As a young child she knew she wanted to have a life with animals and became a veterinarian. Dr. Novak attended Colorado State University, where she earned her degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She has done post-doctorate studies on veterinary chiropractic and acupuncture, which has opened the door to more eastern and alternative methods to mana
ge pain. Her veterinary interests include the human-animal bond with compassionate care to the final end.
​Dr. Novak has worked in several different fields of veterinary medicine, from USDA field research, where she has published several journal articles, to laboratory research, shelter medicine and private practice. After graduating from CSU, Dr. Novak went to Arizona to work in private practice and found herself at the 2004 Shelter of the Year, Arizona Humane Society Second Chance Animal Hospital providing care to sick and injured stray animals where she was featured on the Animal Planet show, Animal Heroes- Phoenix. Tired of the big city, Dr. Novak moved to Cheyenne in 2006 and then opened La Zoetry Pet Clinic in 2010. Her recent accomplishments have included utilizing her laser, acupuncture, and chiropractic methods to get pets walking again and was featured in the Wyoming News in 2019. She was also voted "Best of the Best in Cheyenne". Dr. Novak is a member of several kennel clubs and is very active in showing her dogs, which include several champion and versatile dogs. She continues to attend shows where she offers her laser, chiropractic, and acupuncture services, through Healing Hands Integrative Veterinary Care, to keep those dogs feeling great so they can do well. Dr. Novak enjoys life with her many pets as well as outdoor activities, running marathons, and motorcycle riding in her spare time.
