This morning, we were made aware of a scam targeting pet owners in our community. A caller pretending to represent the Cheyenne Animal Shelter claims your pet has been injured and requires immediate medical attention. They then ask for your credit card information to cover "emergency expenses."

Please note that this is not the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and we will never call to request payment over the phone. If you receive this call, do not give out your personal or financial information and report it to your local authorities. If you are concerned or unsure about any communication claiming to be from the Shelter, please feel free to call us at (307)632-6655. Thank you.

🐾 Meet our pet of the week, Rallie!
This sweet 4-year-old Pit Bull Terrier is looking for a patient, loving family to show her the best holiday season ever. Rallie is a bit of a timid lady at first, but with time and plenty of treats, we're sure she'll blossom into a confident, fun-loving pup in no time.

Rallie can be a bit picky with her canine friends, so we recommend completing a dog meet at the Shelter before bringing her home. This cutie is quite the ball of energy, and she will happily expend it on long walks and playtime with her favorite humans. And once she warms up to you, be prepared for the best snuggles and cuddles anyone could ask for!

If you're ready to make this pawsome pup's Christmas dreams come true, head to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter at noon and meet Rallie today!

We would like to extend our most heartfelt thanks and gratitude to David Harrison, Tiffany Gutierrez, Tyannah Swenson, and the Harrison family for their generous donation to the Shelter in honor of Angelina Harrison. Angelina was a passionate lover of animals, often accompanied by her favorite four-legged companion, Draco. Her legacy lives on through this beautiful act of kindness and will continue to make a difference in the lives of animals who join us.

Frank is ready as ever to jump into a fun-loving family, so swing on by the Cheyenne Animal Shelter and hang out with Frank today!

For new moms like Bryce and Lilith, having a litter of puppies can be an experience full of uncertainty - especially without the safety of a home.

Bryce and Lilith came to us as strays in late October, their 16 young pups entirely dependent on their mothers for survival. With winter’s chill closing in on Cheyenne, finding shelter and care was no longer just important, it was urgent.

Thanks to our incredible fosters and generous donors, Bryce, Lilith, and all 16 of their puppies have been met with warm beds, bowls full of food, and compassion. Each has since found loving homes to call their own, leaving behind the fear and uncertainty they once faced.

As 2024 comes to a close, the Cheyenne Animal Shelter is launching our Year-End Donation Campaign. This year, we have a goal of raising over $190,000 for the pets in our care and the many more to come. With your help, we can absolutely meet our goal!

Click the link in the comments below to make your year-end gift and create second chances for the pets who need us the most. Thank you all for your kindness and support!
