Announcing daily "Yappy Hour" at CACC!

Calling all pet lovers! Join us for Yappy Hour, a happy hour event prompting fee-waived adoptions at the Chicago Animal Care and Control for the entire month of November!

Yappy Hour times:
Monday - Friday: 3pm-6pm
Saturday and Sunday: 1pm-4pm

Come meet some adorable dogs and cats, and learn more about the adoption process. All adoptions are fee-waived during Yappy Hour, so it's the perfect time to find your new furry best friend!

Our volunteers and staff will be on hand to answer your questions and help you find the perfect pet for your family. So come on down to Yappy Hour and help us find forever homes for these deserving pets!

Don't forget to share this event with your friends and family! The more people who know about Yappy Hour, the more pets we can help adopt.

Special thanks to our incredible volunteer Annie for coordinating and organizing the Blessing of the Pets event last week as every pet that attended was able to receive a St. Francis medal, which was sponsored by Annie and was blessed by Fr. Roger from St. Mary Star of the Sea.

Thanks to the rest of the council volunteers for attending and supporting as we had a wonderful attendance from the West Lawn community and beyond.

🐶 Woof Lawn Dog Park is officially open! ✂️

From door knocking and collecting over one thousand signatures back in May 2021, West Lawn made it loud and clear. Thank you 13th Ward Alderman Marty Quinn for your steadfast leadership and commitment to the community to own common spaces for our neighbors to thrive.

Such an incredible journey as none of this would be possible without the amazing support from the community as everything you see inside the dog park was sponsored and donated by families, neighbors and small businesses.
