Don't forget to read through our adoption policies - all kittens (and even some of our adults) must go to a home with another friendly cat or be adopted with a buddy!

Poor baby Saturn!

A Good Samaritan rescued him and his 3 siblings, but had no idea what kind of condition they were in until an examination discovered multiple abscesses all over Saturn, coupled with an out of control ringworm infection. If you're faint of heart, DON'T check out the comments for the image of the largest wound. 🤢Saturn is now on antibiotics, pain medication and antifungal treatment, but has a long road to recovery. The wound on his head was stapled closed, but he may need additional surgery (including potential partial tail amputation) depending on how he heals. We can't imagine how terribly gross, itchy and painful he felt before he landed in the home of his devoted foster parent, who is dedicated to his treatment until he is healthy. We hope to provide happy updates on him soon!

If you would like to make a donation towards his medical care, any amount is truly appreciated! If you would like to do so using your credit card, you can call our veterinary partner directly at 630-293-1575 (Giller Animal Hospital) and ask to make a payment on Feline Fine Cat Rescue's account.

Or, we accept Zelle (preferred) or PayPal sent to: [email protected].

We have so many black and white cats right now, we might as well be an Oreo factory!

Newly added to the website - Seamus, a 6 month old tripod, and Sam, a 9 month old tuxedo of the four-legged variety. 😁 Both are fun-loving, cuddly, sweet and playful! They are in separate foster homes, so no need to adopt them together. Check out their profiles for more information!

We don't want to "oversell" these two, but Milkshake (left - female) and Pop (right - male) are some of the very BEST cats we've every had in our program!

At 9 months young, they still have lots of kitten energy and love climbing, exploring, playing and zooming around the house. But they also LOVE cuddling and hanging out near their people. They're super social and outgoing (especially Pop) and will rush to greet you whenever you come home. They both do well with other cats, but Pop can be a bit rough so he may not be a good fit for homes with shy or senior cats.

They can be adopter together or separately!

Though we're not technically a TNR group, we do help the occasional cat if they are caught by a member of our local community (our volunteers do not perform actual "boots on the ground" trapping). While sterilizing ferals is a great way to relieve the pressure on area animal control by reducing the number of kittens born, we can't offer these services on a large scale due to financial constraints. We rely heavily on adoption fees to cover the cost of veterinary care for each of our cats, so TNR tends to eat into our funding. We just had two new ferals brought to us, so if you would like to sponsor their vetting, any amount is truly appreciated! Cost for their services will be $75 each.

Zelle (preferred) or PayPal sent to: [email protected]

Or donate directly on this post.

Because feral cats deserve to live happy, healthy lives too! ❤️

Update: A generous donor has sponsored one of these kitties! Just $75 more to go.

Fantastic news for our feline friends on the east coast!

Massachusetts has become the third state to BAN DECLAWING statewide (New York and Maryland are the other two)!

Declawing is a very invasive, excruciatingly painful surgery (multiple bone amputations) that has very damaging physical and psychological side effects both short term and long term (litter box avoidance, aggression/biting, fearfulness, severe arthritis early in life, etc). Even though we now only have 3 states with an official ban, many vet clinics are no longer performing the surgery because of the negative side effects it has on cats!

Here at FFCR, we are very passionate about cats keeping their claws and encourage pet owners to really do their research on this terrible procedure so they can understand why it's so important to avoid declawing at all costs. Most cats (especially the ones in our adoption program) are not going to intentionally harm someone, but claws provide a way for cats to communicate with people if they aren't feeling well/not in the mood to be touched (especially those who may not understand feline body language - like children and dogs) and to establish their boundaries (how or where they don't want to be handled). Additionally, many cats become aggressive biters once their claws are removed since that becomes the only way they can effectively tell humans (or other pets) "no". There is no "humane" option when it comes to declawing (some vets might lead you to believe that laser surgery is better, but it only facilitates quicker healing, and the cat is still at risk for developing all of the physical and psychological side effects post-op).

We are so thankful for the cat advocates in Massachusetts, as this law will spare countless cats from pain and suffering.

We are sure to be a NO DECLAW NATION soon!

Cat declawing is now illegal in Massachusetts, banning the procedure that many animal advocates call inhumane.

Looking for a darling duo??

6 month old siblings, Cider (black, male) and Autumn (tabby, female) are seeking a home together.

Cider is a cuddlebug that loves stretching out beside you and rubbing his face against yours. He's a bit of a talker and will meow back at you if you talk to him. He's super playful and loves wrestling with his sister.

Autumn, on the other hand, is more on the shy side and is still coming out of her shell and learning how to trust humans. Once she is in your lap, she'll purr like an engine and nap on or near you as you work. She is an expert at giving her brother baths, and relies on him for comfort and confidence.

If you or someone you know is ready to open their hearts and homes to two lovely kittens, the application can be found here: www.felinefinecatrescue.org/adopt

Say hello to our first batch of fresh faces for 2025! Many more on the way! 🥰

Unfortunately, as is typical for the first of the year, one of our vet partners has had a price increase (and others may follow), so if you'd like to help us take in more cats this year, we truly appreciate a donation of any amount! In addition to needing spay/neuter surgery for these kittens, Izzy has a large hernia that needs repair ASAP.

Thanks for all your continued support!

As we wrap up 2024, we wanted to congratulate all the kitties who found their forever families this month! Though we weren't able to save as many cats this year as last year, we can't get discouraged and must continue giving our all each and every year. To those who supported us in 2024, we appreciate you more than you know and we hope to see you in 2025! 😊

From our FFCR family to yours, we hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! While we still have plenty of kitties waiting to be adopted, we were able to pair 9 cats with their forever families right before the holiday, including our adorable Christmas tree inspector, Guppy! If your kitty participated in your Christmas festivities, feel free to share some pics!

We have some more long timers that could use a little Christmas Magic to help them find a home.

Annie is approximately 8 years old and was originally rescued from a hoarding house where she was severely neglected. She was adopted over 3 years ago, but eventually returned due to no fault of her own. Initially, she was a pretty shy girl, but she has gained a bunch of confidence in her foster home and has become a wonderful, loving companion.

Mystique is an approximately 1.5 year old momma who raised her little ones well. They have long since found their forever homes, but Mystique was left behind without so much as an inquiry. She may come off as a bit shy at first, but she longs for a gentle, loving human touch and promises to be a calm, well-mannered companion.

Fredrick is BIG in size and personality! Yes, he has a damaged eye. Yes, he's FIV positive. But he doesn't let these things get him down! He is the most social, outgoing, cuddly, lovable teddy bear you'll ever meet! We could write a book on how awesome he is, but instead of wasting your time reading it, why don't you just come down and meet him?

While everyone is putting together their Christmas lists, our only Christmas wish is for our long term residents to find a home for the holidays!

Gracie and Graham have been with us over a year, and though they were adopted for a short time, they had an unfortunate incident with the resident cat. For this reason, they may do best the only pets in the household even though they were raised with other cats previously without incident. They are very sweet with people! They love to cuddle, play, snuggle, chase and promise to bring endless joy and fun to your household! They both have permanent scarring in their eyes, but they do not require any treatment for this, nor does it affect their daily lives (they both had surgery to correct their eyes as much as possible, and their current appearance is how they will remain). If you or someone you know might be a good fit for this pair, please visit our website fur an application: www.felinefinecatrescue.org/adopt. We'd love nothing more to see these little angels under someone's tree instead of behind the window at the PetSmart store.

Sadly, 2024 has been our "slowest year" yet. We've had to drastically reduce intake due to lack of fosters, resources and adoptions. We know we're still making a difference in the lives of the lucky few who enter our program, but of course we wish we could do more.

We still have some significant vet and supply bills that need settling up before the end of the year so we can hit the ground running in 2025. It's particularly tough during the holiday season to raise funds, but should you have a few extra dollars, please consider sending it to the kitties.

Here are some of the faces who will have bright futures ahead of them due to your continued kindness. Thanks for your support! ❤️
