How to Brush Your Pet’s Teeth 🪥🐾
1. Use pet-safe toothpaste only
Never use human toothpaste—it can be harmful. Choose a flavor your pet likes!
Start slow
2. Let your pet taste the toothpaste and gently touch their mouth before introducing the brush.
3. Use the right tools
A pet toothbrush or finger brush works best. Soft bristles are key.
4. Lift the lip
You don’t need to open the mouth wide—focus on the outer surfaces of the teeth.
5. Brush gently
Use small, circular motions along the gumline, especially the back teeth.
6. Keep it short & positive
30–60 seconds is great to start. Praise and reward after!
7. Be consistent
Aim for daily brushing, or at least 3–4 times a week.
Pro Tip:
If brushing isn’t possible yet, ask us about dental diets, chews, and rinses to support oral health.
