I strongly believe in investing time and effort in apprentices who are learning the dog training trade. I have realized the importance of providing them with both easy and challenging experiences. Reflecting on the challenges we have faced with dogs has helped shape us into successful trainers. However, as time goes on, these difficult challenges become less common because we now have better strategies to address behavioral problems. Therefore, our responsibility is to ensure that apprentices are challenged and develop similar skills, but in a healthier and safer way.
