Cheaper is NOT the way to go when it comes to your pets grooming, safety, and life. Always ensure your groomers are certified, trained, insured, AND a legitimate entity. 💕

✨️Things to ask your groomer!✨️

As I have mentioned before, the grooming industry is 🚫NOT🚫 regulated like the human cosmetology, barber, and esthetic industry.

What this means is that basically ANYONE can purchase tools from amazon, walmart, or wherever and call themselves a groomer and charge people for it...even though they have 0 training nor insurance.
There are NO formal licenses required for grooming!

There are, however, several accredited grooming schools and academys as well as apprenticeships that offer several week courses which include canine anatomy, in depth training of bathing and drying each different breeds coat, breed standard grooms, show grooms and much more.
Many of these require you to perfect bathing, conditioning and drying and have an understanding of canine anatomy before even touching sharp objects!

These are some of the major questions to ask when choosing a groomer!

❗️Don't just choose them because they are the cheapest!
❗️Don't just choose them because they have an immediate opening tomorrow.

You are handing over a living being 🐶 to someone who will be handling sharp objects around their faces, sanitary areas, etc.

Make sure your family's pet(s) is/are in safe, gentle and caring hands! 🫶

It’s with an extremely heavy heart that I say goodbye to a member of our Ruff Riders family. Ariel has made her way over the rainbow bridge. Ariel was so spunky, loving, affectionate, and full of energy. I was so lucky to have been introduced to her and be allowed to care for her. She was and is so loved by her family. My condolences go out to Ariel’s beautiful family, for she was something special.

Hi guys! I am lucky and blessed enough to be able to book out about 6 weeks at a time and appreciate everyone who maintains a regular schedule. That being said, appointments that go unconfirmed and without a response, and appointments cancelled within 24hours will no longer be considered for future appointments. I work hard to acquire and maintain a list of furry clients and extremely loyal pet parents who care for their pets and understand the benefits of mobile grooming and with that comes a lot of mutual respect. I will bend over backwards for you guys as you all do for me but often times kindness can be misconstrued with weakness and I have to maintain a regular schedule. When my efforts are ignored, my messages go unanswered, and it leaves me with little to no time to fill appointments, money is quite literally being taken out of my house hold. I am a sole owner, I am not backed by a corporation and depend on Ruff Riders to support myself and my family. All I ask is for the respect to communicate to me as much as I communicate to you everyone. 💕 As always, thank you for the continuous love and support ! 🫶🏼
