Still crazy to me people like this exist

We are Heartbroken 💔 It saddens and upsets us that people have been BREAKING INTO our Laredo Animal Protective Society, located on Gonzalez St. The items stolen are of great value to our everyday operations. This includes our equipment, maintenance tools, and food for our shelter animals. LAPS has been an important part of Laredo for over 70 years and has never experienced this situation. We remind you, we are a NON PROFIT organization. We do not receive governmental assistance and rely solely on donations from the community.

Not only are these people stealing from our animals, but they are also stealing from our staff, volunteers, and our community members who have worked hard to earn and fundraise for our shelter! Our partner, Best Friends For Life, has also been affected by these break-ins. This situation affects the services we provide to our City of Laredo and Webb county. We humbly ask for monetary donations to replace the stolen equipment, items, and upgrade our security system and cameras.

🐶 BTPS is now serving 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 - 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 - 𝗘𝗹𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 and surrounding areas! Willing to travel for an extra fee. We will be providing dog walking, drop-in visits and house sitting services.

❤️ A little about us… recently moved from Texas (where we used to provide all types of services) to seek out bigger opportunities and spend time with family! We’re a latina-owned, woman-operated business that consists of two people, Marlene and Evelyn.

I, Marlene, manage social media, bookings and interviews. My background is in veterinary clinics, boarding facilites, dog behavior workshops and dog training. Evelyn, is our trustworthy dog walker, dog sitter and home sitter, trained under me.

BIG NEWS!!! We're back in town.

We're so excited to be offering house sitting, drop in visits and dog walking in Laredo, Texas once again. 🐶 To our SA clients, no need to be alarmed, we're still in town! We're only expanding our services back to our hometown. 🏡

In light of recent Tik Tok trends we would like to release a statement:

Please STOP. Stop barking in your dog's face. Stop blowing in your dog's face. Stop scaring your dog on purpose. While these all seem funny and while the videos posted are cute the truth behind it is that YOU are risking getting BIT by your own dog! Most of those bites will be in the face, hands, or neck and both of you will suffer for this. You will end up at the hospital and your dog could potentially end up euthanized. Hospitals are legally obligated to notify Animal Control when a dog bite comes in. You are setting your dog up for failure every time you try one of these tik tok challenges.

Our hiatus is over! We are officially ready to start meeting some new pets in our new city: 📍San Antonio, Texas.

🐶 It feeels great to be back, we are extremely grateful for your patience with us setting up at our new home!

🐱 We're not located in SW side of San Antonio. We are accepting boarding requests from all over the city but unfortunately, will only be doing drop-in visits, and dog walking on this side of town.

Hi guys! We're very sad to announce our past page was unfortunately disabled, therefore all our reviews and pictures of our past clients have been deleted. 😪 There's no way to get it back, so we've decided to make a new page, this one.

We will do our best to answer all questions asked regarding the services we have been providing for 4+ years in the the Laredo and San Antonio area, as well as our 8+ years of experience in the pet community.

We just ask you please share our new page with your friends and family to try to reach the amount of followers we used to have; to offer them our services, answer any questions and so it's known we're still in business.
