Our sweet and spirited 2-year-old Mango has found her forever family! This loving, gentle gal captured hearts with her dynamic personality, love of fetch, and enthusiasm for tug toys! Whether she was showing off her playful side or cuddling up for a quiet moment, Mango was always a delight! Now, she's off to a new adventure filled with lots of playtime, tug-of-war victories, and all the love she deserves. Here's to a happily ever after, Mango!

Pebbles, a vulnerable two-month-old, was found in a garbage can next to her puppy sibling who heartbreakingly didn’t make it. Thankfully, a kind stranger found Pebbles before it was too late and brought her to Anti-Cruelty. Shaking from malnourishment and an uncertain future, Pebbles quickly got the care she needed from our dedicated and knowledgeable staff and volunteers. Her long recovery and transformation has been remarkable. In our care for 43 days, Pebbles made a full recovery in foster care and found a loving forever home! Pebbles is a reminder that, even in the most dire of circumstances, the smallest of pups can make the biggest transformations.

When Chico arrived, we were so worried. At just seven months old, he was underweight with severe mange, anemia, inflammation and infection, and ulceration present on his whole body. Anti-Cruelty staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure he got better. After arriving in foster care, Chico’s wounds steadily healed, and he finally began to experience puppyhood. Now, Chico is looking for his loving home! Could that be with you? Help him find a forever family who loves him more than anything else in the world.

Hattie was surrendered through our Field Services team as a stray when she was only 2 weeks old. The only life she knew before coming to Anti-Cruelty was on the streets of Chicago. Struggling to survive as just a little neonate, Hattie was severely underweight and had badly scratched skin around her eyes due to irritation from conjunctivitis. Anti-Cruelty vets, staff, and volunteers cared for Hattie and then placed her into foster care.

Now, after 67 days in our care, she spends her days cozied up on the couch with her forever human who can’t get enough of her! When you donate this , your gift directly impacts animals like Hattie. Tippy was discovered locked in an abandoned bathroom with another dog before arriving at Anti-Cruelty. Our medical team immediately noticed a wobble in her walk and found the source of her pain. Tippy heartbreakingly lost all function in her back legs due to a slipped disk in her spine which caused the disk in between the vertebrae to push on her spine, pinching all the nerves. After several months of rehabilitation in our care, Tippy went to rescue and soon found a forever home with a kind family who now gives her the attentive care she deserves. Her story is one of resilience and inspiration to keep going, and a reminder of specialty care Anti-Cruelty gives to animals like Tippy.

Coco Chanel came to us with severely matted fur but a big heart. This sweet, 1-year-old American Cocker Spaniel mix couldn’t see because of the hair covering her eyes!

A very happy belated birthday to Nino - who turned 13-years old yesterday in our care! Nino is another pet we're featuring this week who was not scooped up by adopters at our recent #ClearTheShelters event. Coco was one of the pups not scooped up at this past Saturday's Clear the Shelter adoption event so we're giving our resident wiggle worm and social butterfly a little extra attention today! Coco is an energetic 4-year-old who was brought to Anti-Cruelty when her previous owner's landlord would not allow her in their building. She is fun-loving, wiggly, and enjoys stuffed toys and romps around our training room. Coco previously lived in a household with kids and was crate- and potty-trained by her original owners. With her jumpy, exuberant nature, she'll do great with someone who can help her burn excess energy with long walks and time outside while also teaching her basic manners like "sit" and "stay."
