Living in rural Eastern Kentucky, there is a massive need for pet rescue. Animals are continually dumped, left to fend for themselves where there are packs of coyotes, bobcats, and poisonous snakes everywhere.
For a family pet, indoor animal, or any animal that wasn’t raised to find its own food to survive - it’s a long, slow, scary March towards death or creating mayhem & getting shot, or run over by vehicles.
So we decided to make some changes!!!
Dumped & released animals (dogs to start with), will be taken in & assessed for behavior & health.
Aggressive, unadoptable or unhealthy animals will be sent to appropriate rescue groups or give The Last Act of Kindness.
Animals that are able to be adopted out will be vetted, and then sent to foster/adoptive homes in & around the Chicago area - taking these animals out of the cycle of breeding & dumping.
At a later date, a partner nonprofit will be created for Homeless Vets & some of these amazing animals will be filtered into that program.
For now, the animals will be sent up north to live their best lives that they deserve.
In the meantime, we need your help to spread the word!!!
We need:
**Donations (funds & pet supplies of all kinds)
**Volunteers
**Foster homes
**Adoptive homes
****Followers to help us spread our messages to get to the people who need us on both ends of the equation.
