Can I get some Brisket with a side of Beans? 🍽️😋
(But first, a backstory that might clear your appetite… 👀)

Coffelt had contracted ringworm on his journey to us. While ringworm is a minor fungal skin infection, treatment can often be a long and tedious process 🦠💊. Luckily, Coffelt wasn’t limited to the clinic’s isolation rooms during his three-month treatment. Instead, he found comfort in the care of a compassionate foster volunteer 💛 while his ringworm cleared, before finally making his way to the Tree House adoption floor 🏡🐾.

Cleared of ringworm and ready to find a new home, his wishes were answered quickly! 🎉 Now known as Brisket, he’s become the ultimate cuddly goofball who never stops purring or looking for love 😻. “He likes to throw his butt in our resident cat’s face to initiate play, which is very funny,” says his new family 😂. Brisket has brought joy to not only his humans but also his feline sibling, Beans 🐱🐱. “We’ve seen such positive changes in our Beans with the addition of Brisket!” 💕

This match was made in barbecue heaven 🔥🍖, and we’re absolutely eating it up! From human pawrents to cat siblings, we love seeing our Tree House family grow with each adoption story 🐾💖.

Sparkle. Speckle. Sprinkle. And Twinkle… now try saying that 3x fast ✨

These four kittens joined Tree House in September with a not-so-fun surprise: ringworm and upper respiratory infections. Ringworm may sound scary, but with proper care, a clean space, and lots of love, it’s very treatable—and these kittens proved it.

In foster care, they got plenty of rest and snuggles in their own room (to prevent contagions from spreading). These kittens also tackled weekly lime sulfur baths (effective, but pungent) at our clinic. Once they recovered, they finally got to enjoy time with the resident cats, dog, and humans. Their foster even admitted she’d have kept them all if her house wasn’t already full 💛

Each kitten has their own personality, but one thing’s the same: they’re total sweethearts, making up for lost time with plenty of snuggles. Soon, they’ll be bouncing around our adoption floor—keep your eyes peeled! 👀🐾

ATTENTION! General Paws is here to share his story 🐾

Found as a stray in Austin this October, General Paws came to us with a severe skin condition—swipe to see his “before” photos. 📷️ Our veterinary staff diagnosed him with flea allergy dermatitis, which made him extremely sensitive to flea bites, plus periodontal disease causing painful gums. While treating his skin, he also received a dental extraction and was neutered. 🩺

Now in foster care, General Paws is thriving! He LOVES mealtime (his tail literally quivers with excitement), enjoys snuggles, head butts, and all the pets—and best of all, he’s finally itch-free and feeling great. 🤩

Could this sweet, affectionate guy be the new member of your family? General Paws will be available for adoption soon! 💛

A little progress each day adds up to big results. 💚

Jellianne Toe Beans spent most of her life in a quiet home with an elderly caretaker. When her person passed away earlier this year, she came to Tree House—and it quickly became clear she needed baby steps to learn to trust again. A foster home was the perfect place to begin that journey. 🏘️

Incredibly shy, Jellianne often stayed tucked away in her safe space, only coming out to eat when no one was around. But lately? She’s started taking treats from her foster dad’s gloved hand. To top it off, she has been accepting pets from her petting stick—fleece wrapped around a wand toy. That’s huge progress for Miss Toe Beans. 🏆️

At Tree House, we believe every cat benefits from extra time and TLC—especially cats like Jellianne. She may be in foster care for a while, but we’re cheering her on every single day, treat by treat. 🐾

Ever seen take over an office meeting? We have. 🤪💼

Sandy has fully embraced his role as an employee on —chair claimed, boundaries set. He pulls up to the desk to “help” with emails, contributes to meetings, and takes his OSHA-required lunch breaks seriously with snuffle mat foraging, toy hunting, and the occasional play-tent retreat. 😎

Sandy currently works out of an office with our feline behavior specialist and veterinary director, where he gets extra time socializing with his human colleagues and getting routine enrichment with our team.

Interested in adopting Sandy? He’s available for Trial Adoption. Email [email protected] to learn more.

How long have you been waiting for a best friend? We hope your lonely heart might find one of our Tree House favorites, and make a loving match.

Meet Cleotrapa—named after the New York rapper.

While this kitty isn’t spittin’ verses, people might think she’s swaying to the beat. But that’s not quite the case: Cleotrapa has cerebellar hypoplasia. To put it simply, the part of her brain that coordinates movement was underdeveloped, making her a “wobbly cat.” This motor disability will not progress, and it does not cause her any pain.

Are you looking to adopt a star like Cleo into your home? Not only is this girl playful and affectionate—she’s also ready for adoption!

Just two Southern gals, finding their purr-fect match in the Windy City! 🏙️

Broth (a feline lady) journeyed north from Georgia during a shelter transfer earlier this year, while Cadence (a human lady) took the leap from Florida to Chicago for college. 🚚 After seeing a video on Tree House’s TikTok page about the cats' cross-country adventure, she felt a touching connection to her fellow southerners. “I felt weirdly displaced, as I’m sure these babies did, too,” remembers Cadence.

When her Valentine’s Day opened up thanks to cancelled classes, Cadence had a sneaky feeling she’d be meeting her perfect match on the day all about love. And she was right! “My sweet girl was the first cat I met at Tree House, and I felt an instant connection with her—I just knew she was the one for me!” she recalls. 💞

From her first night at home, she snuggled right up to Cadence and fit herself so perfectly into their new life together. “I decided to rename her Soup, to pay homage to the name she was given in the shelter, but also give her a name uniquely her own.” 🍲

Following graduation in the spring, the duo roadtripped back home to the Sunshine State, passing through Soup’s home county in Georgia on the way. Thanks to her grandparents (Cadence’s parents), Soup is one spoiled kitty, getting constant snuggles, crocheted hats, and homemade blankets. 🥰

Soup and Cadence’s story was a match made in the Midwest, but we love knowing these Southern gals have found lots of sun and warmth together (especially during this time of year)!
