Meet (image 1) She was three weeks ago at our vet clinic claiming she was going I am because she is far too clean and She was thin and had only 3 teeth. We took her home and she eats like a champ. Sunday, I noticed she had a swelling on the left lower side of her mouth. (Image 2-3) Oral cancer is common in and I made an appointment to check it out (images -54). It is cancer, it’s 2mm long and it’s inoperable. We don’t know how old Nina is but I know she has a lot of left in her, so we will manage her pain and love her until she’s ready to go on her next adventure. #298

He was showing signs of age and we did try some medication, but it was clear that he was tired and ready to go onto his next Goodbye, little Walter. May you be whole and hearty on the other side.

Given up because his mama was a traveling nurse, came to us in March2023 at He loved to wheel and eat, not caring much for being handled. Last week, we noticed he was having trouble getting into his wheel. Within days, he could barely walk and his appetite was waning. He did seem to enjoy being cuddled, finally. He told us he wasn’t happy and we helped him cross the bridge today. Many thanks to and everyone at for their kindness and compassion. #275

Meet She is 3-4 years old and tiny. Overall she seems ok. We had a long and talk, then I tucked her in with a bowl of wet food (I suspect she has few teeth) and is now cuddled into a soft snuggle sack. We currently have 17 hedgehogs in the house. #292

He had a very difficult and probably painful life before he came to us, and all the meds, good food and love couldn’t fix him. It was a busy week at the HQ. After losing we took in 12 week old and then 3year old who was dumped at - I picked her up as I went home on Friday. Luna us a sweet little pea, growing before our eyes. Latte is angry and rightly so. They are both safe here. # #269 #270

came to us in October 2021, 5 years old and tiny, from a heartbreaking situation. Despite his age, he was very active, wheeling all the time and had a great appetite. He had that was well managed on meds and never showed any symptoms. Last week, his appetite waned and he didn’t wheel. His breathing became moderately labored. Last night, his back legs didn’t work. We set him free this morning with no regrets. He was a silly monkey who decided the remote pouch was the best place to hang out and rage wheeled after his morning meds. We will love you forever and a day, old man. #220

Posts have been slower, partially due to work and also due to having an inoperable on his lower left jaw area. We found out a few weeks ago, and my heart broke. He’s not even and I’m going to lose him. He’s eating and we’re managing his discomfort. He loves to sit on my lap and gaze up at me. I know our time together is growing shorter, but I won’t grieve him while he’s still with me. Each of them take a little bit of our hearts, and this one is special, with his and sweet smile. #186
