(WAH) was founded on
March 1, 1995 by Dr. Allyson J. Formerly named Sweeney Animal Hospital, (under different management), the facility that now houses WAH has been a fixture in the Woodlawn community for over 90+ years! Woodlawn Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital including a pharmacy, surgery suite, in house laboratory, on-site x-ray capabilities and a supervised recovery area

. Dr. Harris' dream is to bring quality veterinary medicine and animal related services to an under served, but highly deserving community. A place where she can combine her passions veterinary medicine, client education and outstanding customer service. She wants her clients to think of her as a "partner" in the pursuit of their pet's overall health and well being. And her "no non-sense" approach to this "partnership" is her signature! She tells clients, "We HAVE to do this together!" She also wants to set an example for young people. That no matter their circumstance, they can fully achieve any goal they set! It just takes hard work, integrity, and an "over comers" attitude!! She always tells them "Don't let your situation define you, define your situation!!"

Dear Woodlawn Family,

The Hospital will be on vacation and therefore closed from June 25, 2022 - June 29, 2022. We will be back in the office and resume regular business hours on June 30, 2022, starting at 8:00 a.m.   During this time away, the phones, emails, and PetPro Connect portal will not be manned. 

While we are away, Bronzeville Animal Clinic has been notified of our absence and will try to accommodate our clients/patients if possible. They too are BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. They can be reached at  (312) 949-1838.  Please call FOR THEIR specific COVID protocol.  **THEY ARE NOT AN EMERGENCY HOSPITAL OR A WALK-IN CLINIC** 
There are also other animal hospitals in the area in case Bronzeville isn’t available.  

If your pet is having a medical emergency, you can contact Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) South Loop at (872) 710-5226 or Premier in Orland 708/388-3771.

If you need proof of your pet's vaccinations, we recommend looking through your email's inbox for past invoices and certificates. 

Our goal is to rest and refresh while away so that when we return, we continue to serve you and your fur babies and give you our very best.
