Look at Banana Pants with her new mom! Banana Pants was found as a stray, and the finder wanted to keep her but had a resident cat who turned out not to be on board with that plan. Luckily, Banana Pants quickly found a home once she arrived at Harmony House. Happy forever, Banana Pants!

Pumpkinhead & Weasley were adopted together! Weasley was a shy young cat when he got placed in the same room as Pumpkinhead. He quickly started to follow Pumpkinhead everywhere and do the same things he did. Soon they were inseparable. We are so happy they were adopted together!

Ritz was adopted! This senior kitty lost her home when her human was evicted. Her outgoing personality won over her new adopters quickly. Happy forever, Ritz!

Feta was adopted! He was an emergency intake that came to us with a urinary blockage. He spent his first several days at the emergency vet. We knew he would need a prescription diet for the rest of his life and possible follow-up surgery, so we were thrilled that one of his veterinarians fell in love with him while he was in the ICU. She continually checked on his progress adjusting to his new diet once he was back in our care. We are happy to announce Feta has found his Purrfect forever home with her. Happy forever, Feta!

Even the tiniest bit of pollen can be deadly.

It's the season. Be careful what plants and flowers you let into your home. And warn your fellow cat lovers!

ALL parts of the lily plant are extremely dangerous to cats! Even if the pollen gets on a cat and he/she licks it off, it can be deadly. If a cat were to drink the water in the vase, that, too, can be deadly.

Tales from Home: Hi there,
I wanted to check in and give the Harmony House team an update on Bucharest, adopted on 2/7/24. We have re-named him Thunder Cat because he does love to thunder around the house and also he's not afraid of thunderstorms at all.
He is doing GREAT and is pleased that we are bending to his will. His loves include: food, eating, getting ready to eat, looking for food and racing us to the kitchen in case we might be making food. He also LOVES to play, we have some rowdy playtime everyday. When he finally gets ready to rest he likes to sleep on our elevated catwalks, we have many sunny birdwatching spots that he enjoys as long as he can stick close to us - he is a very social butterfly. He dislikes closed doors, shelves that are too high for him to access and occasions that we are eating something that he can't have or doesn't like.

Tulip and Begonia have been adopted! These two cats were abandoned in a carrier outside of Chicago Animal Care and Control. They spent six weeks consistently telling us they were feral and refusing interaction with us, but right after they were vetted, they decided to announce that the joke was on us and that they were extremely friendly. We transferred them from
CACC, and barely had them with us before they were adopted. Happy forever, Tulip and Begonia!

Tales from Home: I am just reaching out to say thank you so much for helping me adopt Mr. Howard Meoward!! Howard has been at his new home for almost a month now and he is just the most perfect furry friend I could imagine. He is loving his new place and filling his time with lots of naps and affection. Thank you again for uniting me with him, I am so grateful!

Peninah went home! This shy girl was an emergency admission a couple of months ago and needed some time to come out of her shell. She was not shy at all in informing her adopters that she had selected them to take her home, but she was too excited to leave to take a photo with them. Happy forever, Peninah!
