Scout is a 2-year-old, 35 lb. basset hound looking for a home. She was found as a stray. A small pack of dogs were terrorizing her because she was in heat. Luckily, a good person took her in and she has been spayed. Scout is now looking for a foster-to-adopt home. She is good with adults, kids, and other dogs. Please fill out an application for Scout if you are in the Chicagoland area and would like to give her a forever home.

Update: Still waiting!

Willow and Winter are 4 year old healthy Great Pyrenees sibs who are very bonded .
Their owner dropped them off at a friends never to return . In time the friends dropped them off to be euthanized at a local vet office . The vets office seeing 2 sweet friendly healthy girls called us .
These girls remind me of children . At times listening well at other times not so much . Loving on each other 95% of the time with an occasional 3 second spat then back to loving on each other !
But they are very sweet loving girls who find them selves with no family no fault of their own .
They walk well on lead and are house trained . They do well with Cats but they have proven in the past that they would do better as the only dogs in the home. They were not raised as LGDs so they will not be placed as such.
A fenced yard is required .

For two long nights, Tess has been with us, howling, crying, and trembling with fear. She is the saddest dog we have ever seen, and it breaks our hearts to witness her heartache.

Tess is a 10-year-old German Shepherd x Coonhound who you might recognize from a post we shared a couple of days ago, desperately seeking someone to take her in. But no one came forward. Her future was looking grim without us. Her family - who had her since she was a puppy - decided they no longer wanted or needed her. They were driving her from place to place, hoping someone would take her in. If not, they planned to euthanize her.

Can you imagine the fear and confusion Tess must feel? To leave behind a world she once thought of as safe, to be abandoned by the people she believed would protect her forever? Tess is especially scared now. Everything is new and terrifying to her - new people, new sounds, new smells.

We know it won't be easy to win Tess over. She’s so afraid. But we have to believe that there’s someone out there who sees her worth, who knows she’s worth the effort. This gentle senior deserves to know love, to feel safe and cherished in her golden years.

Please, consider adopting Tess. Come meet her and see if she could be a fit for your home. If you are interested in Tess, please submit an adoption application on our website: https://famousfidorescue.org/dog-adoption-application/

Let's not let Tess spend another night in fear. She deserves to feel safe, to be loved, to know she matters. Share this post far and wide. Help us find Tess the home she so desperately needs.

🚨 EMERGENCY REHOME NEEDED FOR TESS🚨

We have an urgent situation with Tess, a 10-year-old German Shepherd Coonhound mix. She's a sweet girl who, through no fault of her own, is in desperate need of a new home. Her guardian is driving around with her in the car, saying that if they can't find a safe place for Tess today, they will have to either euthanize her or surrender her to an open-intake kill facility where her life could be at risk. The person insists they love Tess very much and just want her to have a good outcome, but their husband will not allow her back in the house.

Tess has been good with cats and dogs in the past, but she can be somewhat protective over her food. Unfortunately, we are running at maximum capacity and can't take in any more large dogs - there's simply no space.

We urgently need someone from our community to step up and save this sweet dog from losing her life today. If you have room in your home and heart, please contact us immediately at 773 907 0305 or email [email protected]. Let's give Tess the second chance she deserves!
