We had to say goodbye to sweet Silas yesterday.
Silas worked his whole life for the Amish before he was discarded for slaughter when he was no longer useful. A draft horse rescue in Pennsylvania saved him, and he later came to Lorrayne Ranch to enjoy retirement after receiving the medical care and love he needed. It was an honor to make his last year’s great ones. We all loved him very much and he had the best of what life could offer as a member of the Lorrayne Ranch Herd.
Enjoy your sweet spot in heaven, Silas. ❤️

During a visit to Lorrayne Ranch, we helped Joanie step back into the saddle after more than 20 years. Inspired, her love for riding has carried her into a riding program where she now rides weekly.
She kindly continues to update us on her incredible horse journey, and we are so blessed to have been a part of that!
