🐶 Luna gets a 3/5 from me! 🔥 🔥🔥

✔️ She’s anxious for nail trims and won’t let you lift her front legs because she knows what’s coming. If you try, she’ll become very reactive and move around a lot.

✔️ We don’t need a muzzle because her aggression is directed at the nail clippers and not me. It’s still a situation that needs to be handled safely.

✔️ Instead of forcing it, we work around her. Lots of head pets, high pitched noises, and distraction help keep her focus off the nail trim.

✔️ For someone with the right experience, patience, and timing, this is manageable. Without those things, this same nail trim could easily become a 5/5.
Every dog is different, and knowing how to adjust your approach makes all the difference.

🐾3 simple ways to help your pet feel more confident and comfortable during grooming:

✅ start early. Introduce puppies to grooming at around 3 months so they can build confidence.

✅stay consistent. Regular grooming appointments help them become familiar with the process and it just becomes routine for them. We recommended monthly appointments for the first year of their life.

✅ practice at home. Get them comfortable with being touched, brushed, and handled even a few minutes a time can make a big difference. Treat it as part of their training routine.

Over the past 2 years, Bark, Bath, and Beyond has continued to grow, and we're incredibly grateful for the trust you've placed on us with your pets.

As part of that growth, we will be implementing a pricing restructure beginning August 1,2026. This update will better reflect the time, skill, and individualized care that goes into each groom, while allowing us to continue providing the calm experience our clients have come to expect.

Our goal has never been to become a high volume salon. We believe every pet deserves the time, patience, and attention needed to ensure a safe and positive grooming experience. This adjustment helps us maintain those standards, continue investing in our team and facility, and most importantly, continue providing value to every client who entrusts us with their pet's care.

By making these changes, we can remain focused on quality over quantity without rushing appointments or compromising the level of service your pets deserve.

RECEPTIONIST / FUTURE GROOMING ASSISTANT

Bark, Bath, and Beyond is looking for a friendly, reliable, dog-loving team member to join our growing salon! This position starts as a receptionist role but offers opportunities to learn grooming operations and eventually train as a grooming assistant or groomer for the right candidate.
�💰 Starting at $16-$18/hour�🕒 Part-Time / Full time available �🗣️ Bilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
✔ Loves dogs and enjoys working with people�✔ Friendly, outgoing, and confident communicator�✔ Organized and dependable�✔ Comfortable enforcing salon policies and fees�✔ Interested in learning the pet care industry
✔ reliable and punctual
✔strong attention to cleanliness and organization
✔ fluent in English and Spanish
✔ Future interest in grooming is a huge plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Greeting customers and checking pets in and out
• Managing appointments and scheduling
• Answering phones, texts, emails, and social media inquiries
• Explaining services, pricing, fees, and grooming recommendations
• Following up with clients regarding appointments
• Managing cash drawer and POS system
• Maintaining customer records and pet notes
• Monitoring pets while in our care
• Assisting groomers as needed
• Cleaning and disinfecting work areas
• Cleaning urine, f***s, and other pet-related messes
• Laundry and general salon upkeep
• Helping maintain inventory and supplies
• Learning basic breed identification and coat types
• Supporting a positive and professional salon environment
