See our adoptables on the facebook posts and adoptables photo album. All kittens are either adopted in pairs or to a home with an age appropriate cat buddy (8 and younger usually). Some kittens are only adopted with a bonded buddy. There are some single adults that can be adopted as a single. Adoptions fees cover spay/ne

uter, vaccines to date, microchipping, deworming and whatever medical care that was required before adoption. Most kittens will need at least one more vaccine booster shortly after adoption (some need two) and a rabies vaccine. Adoption Fees:

Kitten pair - $200
Single kitten - $125
Single adult - $95

Feeding cats in a multi-cat household can be challenging for a variety of reasons, and it can also be very stressful for your cats.

In the wild, cats are solitary hunters and prefer to eat alone. They don’t want to eat near other cats or share their meals. This instinct carries over to domestic life—cats generally dislike eating from the same bowl or in close proximity to others. While some cats may tolerate this arrangement out of necessity, it often causes significant stress, leading to food insecurity or even aggression.

Beginner Tips for Feeding in a Multi-Cat Household:

1) Provide individual feeding stations: Each cat should have its own designated feeding area.

2) Separate spaces for each cat: Position feeding stations in separate areas to minimize competition and stress.

3) Ensure adequate distance: Leave plenty of space between feeding stations to allow each cat to feel comfortable and relaxed while eating.

Leona and Ozzie are ready for adoption😻

These floofy 13wk old siblings did great for their spay/neuter surgery last week and are hoping for a home of their very own for Catmas 🎄

While Leona(white/brown tabby) is sweet and extremely affectionate her bro Ozzie is STILL playing the hissy/hiding game. (We informed him he’s not feral, promised him healthcare and all the tuna 🍣 and chicken 🍗 he wants but he’s not buying it). Therefore not only must they be adopted as a pair but their adopter must be prepared to work with this lil floof with the attitude. Yes, all 2.7lbs of him 🙄🤣

Meet Nuka!!! This young friendly gal has seen a thing or two. She was born in Kosovo where she sustained a head injury causing the loss of one eye. Due to this injury she now has a permanent (and adorable) head tilt. Thanks to some pretty amazing people she is now residing in the western burbs of Chicago. We would love to find this gal a home!!! for providing high quality grub to our adoptables. We brought home 3 pallets of Stella & Chewy's food🍗 🥩 🍣 today!!!

We also welcomed 2 new rescues today, more news 📰 on that tomorrow as we will be spending the remainder of the evening nursing our aching backs 🥴 🛏️

Meet Sazz!! 🖤🤍🖤 This wee little man in the tuxedo was thrown out of a moving vehicle on the highway. 🛣️ 🙀 Luckily, a kind person rescued him and brought him to Veterinary Emergency Group. 🏨 His rear leg was injured, but not broken and he left part of his ear behind on the roadway. 😿 When his stray hold was up, he was taken in by our partners Wild Hearts who evaluated his mobility. He is now in a foster home with us and has been declared the sweetest boy ever (video in comments). 😻❤️
Sazz will be available for adoption in a few weeks, keep eye out for updates!

“When you finally allow a human to pick you up because she speaks Spanish “. (Thank you vet assistant Ayleen!).

Can’t even make this stuff up 🤦🏻‍♀️. Another day, another injured stray that nobody seems to be looking for (not chipped). This young gal is being treated for a leg injury after being found in a street. Unsure if that’s wound spray that someone tried to treat her with or actual paint because she has different colors on her. Either way she is receiving vet care, bloodwork, and pain meds and is doing much better.

Help us help them by fostering, donating or sharing ✌🏻✌🏻

🩶🐸KERMIT UPDATE🐸🩶 What a difference a day makes! We’ll save you the not so cute pic of his other end 🍑 🍒 but happy to say he was able to make it into his litter box overnight and is eating well. Lab 🧪 results are still pending so paws crossed!!!

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP for this beautiful spicy queen 👸🏽 🌶️. She’s doing so much better and is ready to get out of that cage. Don’t mind the mess. She’s a messy eater and likes to bury her food ha ha. She deserves to know what the good life is after five years on the streets of Elgin. We just want someone that has a quiet home that will give her time to decompress. She is a special girl and deserves the best! We prefer a foster in the Chicago area or in Elgin or that has a car in case Vet appointments are needed.

KIVA UPDATE

Kiva is back at our vet! She’s hissing and growling and we LOVE IT 😍 because that means she’s feeling better! This poor girl was found as a stray in a park and brought to our vet partner in Elgin after the local shelter refused to help her. She arrived very skinny, covered in fleas and STARVING. She is also spicey 🌶️ but she was sedated upon arrival in order for a thorough exam/blood to be drawn. We had planned on giving her time to gain weight and get stronger in preparation for spay and since then she has been putting down 3-4 cans of food/day. Monday our vet noticed bloody discharge on the blanket and she was not eating as much so into surgery she went since pyometra was feared and we were right. Unfortunately after surgery her red blood cell count dropped and we immediately rushed her to an ER in Naperville. Huge thanks to Veterinary Emergency Group for fighting for her all night and keeping us updated. She is not out of the woods yet but cattitude is always a good sign!! More updates to come and thank you all for your generosity!!!
