See our adoptables on the facebook posts and adoptables photo album. All kittens are either adopted in pairs or to a home with an age appropriate cat buddy (8 and younger usually). Some kittens are only adopted with a bonded buddy. There are some single adults that can be adopted as a single. Adoptions fees cover spay/ne

uter, vaccines to date, microchipping, deworming and whatever medical care that was required before adoption. Most kittens will need at least one more vaccine booster shortly after adoption (some need two) and a rabies vaccine. Adoption Fees:

Kitten pair - $200
Single kitten - $125
Single adult - $95

“When you finally allow a human to pick you up because she speaks Spanish “. (Thank you vet assistant Ayleen!).

Can’t even make this stuff up 🤦🏻‍♀️. Another day, another injured stray that nobody seems to be looking for (not chipped). This young gal is being treated for a leg injury after being found in a street. Unsure if that’s wound spray that someone tried to treat her with or actual paint because she has different colors on her. Either way she is receiving vet care, bloodwork, and pain meds and is doing much better.

⚠️WARNING GRAPHIC PICTURES ⚠️

We are starting to sound like broken records over here (we’re sorry? 🥹) but our vet bills are never ending and so is the need for foster homes. We don’t even have anywhere to put this dude we have named “Kermit” but how can we say no🤷🏻‍♀️
This intact (not chipped) male has been roaming the streets in Humboldt Park when a kind fellow cat lover noticed an injury and brought him inside last night. She drove him out to Bowes Animal Hospital today where he was treated for a nasty wound, a bath (🛁 there were maggots),dehydration and he also received X-rays/meds/ a full blood work-up and a f***l test. He will stay the night there for a few days but we really need a foster ASAP.
Please consider a donation towards his vetting, we are grateful for any amount!

FOSTER NEEDED ASAP for this beautiful spicy queen 👸🏽 🌶️. She’s doing so much better and is ready to get out of that cage. Don’t mind the mess. She’s a messy eater and likes to bury her food ha ha. She deserves to know what the good life is after five years on the streets of Elgin. We just want someone that has a quiet home that will give her time to decompress. She is a special girl and deserves the best! We prefer a foster in the Chicago area or in Elgin or that has a car in case Vet appointments are needed.

🚨 FOSTERS NEEDED 🚨

🌶️ Kiva our sassy gal is doing wonderful and is ready to leave the vet clinic after her stitches come out this wknd. Our vet aged her around 5y and she’s fully vetted. We will need a patient quiet home to teach her that people are not all bad. We don’t know what the last 5yrs of her life has been like but we promised her only good things 🍗 🍣 🍬 🧶 moving forward!!! We prefer that she has another gentle kitty buddy to hang with.

🐈‍⬛ Gwen is a literal angel 😇 and we LOVE her to pieces. She has been living at the vet clinic for months now and deserves better. She is the sweetest girl and fully vetted. Gwen is FIV positive but can safely coexist with non FIV cats as long as they get along. (she lives/plays with 3 other kitties at the clinic). 18m old and soooooo affectionate 🩷

From 8/10 to 10/12, what a difference a couple of months makes! 🧡 The day of your rescue your foster mom was just hoping you made it to the next day. It was a rough several weeks of critical care. Fast forward to today when you’re supurrvising your own adoption contact signing.

KIVA UPDATE

Kiva is back at our vet! She’s hissing and growling and we LOVE IT 😍 because that means she’s feeling better! This poor girl was found as a stray in a park and brought to our vet partner in Elgin after the local shelter refused to help her. She arrived very skinny, covered in fleas and STARVING. She is also spicey 🌶️ but she was sedated upon arrival in order for a thorough exam/blood to be drawn. We had planned on giving her time to gain weight and get stronger in preparation for spay and since then she has been putting down 3-4 cans of food/day. Monday our vet noticed bloody discharge on the blanket and she was not eating as much so into surgery she went since pyometra was feared and we were right. Unfortunately after surgery her red blood cell count dropped and we immediately rushed her to an ER in Naperville. Huge thanks to Veterinary Emergency Group for fighting for her all night and keeping us updated. She is not out of the woods yet but cattitude is always a good sign!! More updates to come and thank you all for your generosity!!!
