🚨New Client Alert🚨 Could it be? Another new client during the same week? It's true! We are so incredibly excited to introduce this cute-as-a-button pup named Lil Man 😎 I think you can guess where he got his name from... because he's just a tiny little man! He is an almost one year old miniature Dachshund mix who loves cuddles and attention. 🐶 Lil Man is friendly to every new human he meets! I mean who wouldn't want to just scoop him up and shower him with affection? 🥹 Welcome to the Green Paws Family, Lil Man! 💚🐾

It's , but it's not the usual whiskers you would expect... 👀 Introducing Lord Sheldon, the cutest and silliest Guinea Pig in town! It's true that Guinea Pigs do indeed have whiskers just like our feline friends. They have about five rows that add up to around 23 whiskers! 😋 Sheldon's favorite snack is yummy shredded lettuce. He popcorns around his habitat whenever he senses it's lettuce time! 🥰 Sheldon's Pet Care Specialist enjoyed every minute they spent with him while his family was away. We don't often have the honor of caring for small animals, but when we do we are incredibly overjoyed! 😁

🚨New Client Alert🚨 Introducing Merlin and Ellie! These adorable terriers are both rescues and they've each got their own silly quirks. 🐶 Ellie was rescued from a horrible hoarding situation, but she is now living the spoiled life with her pawrents! 🥰 Ellie's brother, Merlin, was found as a stray on the streets of Kentucky. Both Ellie and Merlin have grown so much since being rescued! Ellie is extremely food motivated which means her pawrents had to put up a few different baby gates to prevent Ellie from stealing all the food. 😋 Once Merlin has warmed up to a new friend, he shows them nothing but affection and love! Ellie and Merlin are just one example of how amazing it can be when you rescue a furbaby. Welcome to the Green Paws Family E & M! 💚🐾

For this week's we are doing something a little different than the usual furbaby client post.... We are featuring our two office pups! 🐾 Over the past couple of months, Pemby and Boston have grown to be very good friends. Pemby is still bigger than Boston so she wins just about every play-fight match, but Boston's determination to win never wavers! 😎 Over time, Boston has learned the proper way to play-fight and we believe Pemby has grown in her puppy social skills as well. Pemby knows how to correct Boston if she chomps down too hard with her puppy shark teeth! All in all, these two are an absolute hoot to watch while playing and hanging out. 😋 Have a wonderful weekend everyone! 💚

🚨 New Client Alert 🚨 Could these two get any cuter? Everyone please wish a warm welcome to these adorable senior sisters named Dodi and Lucky! 🥰 Much to my own surprise, they are different breeds. Dodi is a 13 year old Maltipoo, while Lucky is an almost 13 year old Yorkipoo! 🐶 Due to their age and health issues, these two have the luxury of riding in style when out and about with their Pet Care Specialist. 😎 Dodi and Lucky do their business on the grass and then they return to their royal carriage for an easy stroll around the neighborhood! Welcome to the Green Paws Family 💚🐾

😸 Happy 😸 We cannot get over the absolutely adorable faces of these two cuties! The beautiful gray tabby is named Brando and his tuxedo colored sister is named Lucy. 🐾 Did you know that cats typically have 24 whiskers—12 on each cheek, arranged in four horizontal rows of three? While some cats can have more than 24, the total number should always be even. The whiskers must be distributed symmetrically on either side of its face so that the cat can read its environment accurately. 🐱 We think Brando and Lucy's whiskers are especially beautiful and majestic! 💚

It's a bird.... it's a plane.... no, it's a potato! 😝 Just kidding, this adorable distinguished gentleman is named Rupert and wow are we obsessed with this little guy. 🥹 He's going to be 10 years old this December, but he doesn't look a day over 2 in our eyes! Rupert is quite the socialite, he tags along with his mom when she goes to bars or restaurants that allow pups. 😎 He will often sit in his little travel bag and wait for customers to give him love and attention as they pass by! We are overjoyed to welcome Rupert into the Green Paws Family 💚🐾

It's the day you've all been waiting for... it's 😎 Everyone please wish a warm welcome to our Pet Care Specialist, Gina! Born and raised in the Northwest side of Chicago, Gina has always surrounded herself with animals either of her own or of friends and family. 🐾 She has cared for a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, fish, birds, reptiles, and hamsters! Gina graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Fine Arts and ended up traveling for numerous years post-grad. ‍✈️ She eventually decided to return to Chicago as her love for the city never dwindled! Gina is excited to meet and care for any and all clients' furbabies. 💚

We have a very special for everyone this week... it's a senior furbaby! 😎 This very distinguished gentleman is a 15 year old Cockapoo named Milo. 🐶 Milo follows the saying that age is just a number, he takes on everyday with excitement and curiosity! Milo is always happy to see his Pet Care Specialist as every walk is followed by a yummy meal. 😋 Though his vision isn’t what it used to be, Milo’s love for people shines brighter than ever. His charming personality and gentle demeanor make everyone he meets fall head over paws in love. 💚

These two cuties were excited as ever for their first official overnight sitting with Green Paws Chicago. 💚 Like many dog and cat duos, Hank has energy for days while Steaks merely tolerates his younger canine brother! 😂 Their Pet Care Specialist was just as excited, if not more, for their sleepover with such an adorable pair. Who's ready for another ? 😎 Introducing Eric, one of our newest additions to the team! Born in Northbrook, Illinois, Eric is a Midwesterner through and through. He has now lived in Chicago for over 9 years and a few years back he adopted his own sweet pup named Farley! 🐶 In his freetime, Eric loves to practice and improve his drumming skills. 🥁 He also enjoys sports, video games, and trying out new cooking recipes! 😝 😝 This adorable Schnauzer and Poodle mix is named Lola and she's got the sassiest and goofiest personality! When on walks with her Pet Care Specialist, she leads the way to her favorite cul-de-sac to take part in some hardcore bird watching. 🐦 After every visit, Lola happily waits for her post-walk treat to be dished out! She is the reigning champion of all staring contests with birds and post-walk treats. 🏆

I'm not sure who is more excited for , myself or this cute as a button mini Labradoodle named Marlene! 🥰 She's four years old and the sweetest little girl to tour the streets of Chicago with. Marlene particularly enjoys long walks and taking in the sun rays! 🌞 Her pet care specialist feels so honored when a usually timid Marlene greets her at the door with joy and excitement. Both Marlene and her pet care specialist love spending time outside and watching as people and animals go about their busy city life! 😎

🚨 New Client Alert 🚨 We love our doggy duos! Everyone please welcome Jarvis and Poe. 😊 Jarvis was an only child until his brother Poe needed a home and his mom's gentle heart couldn't say no! Jarvis is around eight years old and he is a Basset Hound and Australian Cattle Dog mix. Poe is about two years old and he's a sweet and sensitive Labrador mix! 🐶 Jarvis is his mom's first, perfect child and then there's Poe... an energetic, goofball with some anxiety that Jarvis helps quell. It's absolutely adorable the way in which Poe looks to his older (yet smaller) brother for support and guidance! 🥹 Please wish a warm welcome to these beautiful boys! 💚

Introducing Jo Stewart, one of the newest members of the Green Paws team. 💚 Jo grew up with a love for animals, primarily pups, but they now have their own kitty named Lady! 😸 They work part-time at a doggy daycare and part-time with us. Jo particularly enjoys the individualized care they are able to provide with Greenpaws! 😎 Every furbaby receives premier quality pet care catered to their specific needs. Jo looks forward to meeting more furry, scaly, and even feathery pets through their work at Green Paws Chicago! 🐾

Happy to you all! 😎 We wanted to share some back to school tips to prepare for the start of Fall semester. These tips are focused on keeping your furbabies safe while dealing with the chaos of children and school! 📚

1. KEEP BACKPACKS AND LUNCH BOXES OUT OF YOUR PET’S REACH - Hang backpacks, lunchboxes, or any school supply containers on a high, unreachable hook or shelf. Place them in a closed cabinet or closet. Keep them in an inaccessible room.
2. ALWAYS SUPERVISE YOUNG CHILDREN AROUND PETS - For the safety of both the child and the pet, little ones should always be supervised when interacting with an animal, bird, or reptile. This will help to avoid either from becoming unintentionally injured.
3. BUY NON-TOXIC SCHOOL SUPPLIES - Buying school supplies that state on the label that they’re non toxic will put your mind at ease if your dog or cat or other pet is found chewing on a crayon or colored pencil, or licking up spilled glue.
4. LEAVE DOGS IN CRATE OR A DOG-PROOFED ROOM WHEN NOT AT HOME - Canines are more likely to interact with potentially dangerous or toxic items when their owners are not at home.
5. TAKE EXTRA CAUTION AROUND SNACK TIME - Keep a close eye on foods and consider keeping your dog in another room until meal time or snack time is over.
6. KEEP YOUR PET IN A SAFE AREA DURING PICK-UPS AND DROP-OFFS -
Another pet concern is the possibility of dogs and cats escaping their home or yard when kids are opening up gates and doors to leave or come home from school. Bonus tip! Walking your dog on a leash during or after pick-up time is a great bonding activity to add to your routine!

It's the start of another week and you know what that means... ! 😸 This adorable senior kitty is named Remy and she's got sass for days. When Remy's pet care specialist comes to visit, she knows it's brushing and pets time! 🥰 Remy is around 18 years old, currently living out her golden years with style and poise. At Green Paws Chicago, we love our cat clients no matter how young or old! Speaking from personal experience, nothing is cuter than an old lady cat's scratchy "meoooowwrr" when they first awake from a deep slumber. 🥹
