Petunia and Ollie sure know how to enjoy their walks with their Green Paws Pet Care Specialists! 💚🐾

They love getting to spend time with their PCS, with Ollie walking up and down the sidewalks and Petunia sniffing around the yard to her heart’s content. 🥰 What they love even more, however, is getting to rest and relax after a hard day at work prancing all around town. 😴 They are experts at snoozing, loving to bask in the sunlight on the porch and feel the cool autumn breezes. 🍂

While playing with toys is a fun way to bond with your furry friends, it is also a fantastic method to exercise not only a pets’ body but also their mind! 🤯 Mental stimulation is just as important to an animal’s wellbeing and health as any walk, and our Pet Care Specialists know exactly how best to play with each animal in the best ways for them. 💚🐾

🚨New Client Alert🚨 Everyone welcome Frank to our Green Paws family! Frank is a 3-year-old Bernedoodle who is just about the sweetest boy ever! 🥰

Soft-spoken and super friendly, Frank is such a good boy when it comes to walks, loving to be outside and exercising with his Green Paws Pet Care Specialist. 🐕 He especially loves his after-walk bully stick that he gets to enjoy with pets and cuddles on his comfy couch after a nice, long walk. And who could resist giving him all the pets he wants when he looks up at you with his big puppy eyes? 🥺 We definitely can’t!

This week’s comes from a big personality in a small package. Leo, a 12-year-old Dachshund mix, has a very wise philosophy that he lives by: "A comfort zone is a beautiful place – but nothing ever grows there" - Anonymous. 🌹

If there’s one thing Mr. Leo knows, it’s comfort. 🧸 He loves to stay snuggled in his plushie pile, warm and cozy from the outside world, but with a carrot treat he can be tempted to go out with his Green Paws Pet Care Specialist. 🥕 He may love his comfy home, but once he’s outside he knows exactly where he wants to go! He loves to walk and play with his PCS, though he can get tired fast, and retreating to his comfy pile is the best course of action after a tiring day of excitement. 💤

It’s always nice to have time outside of our comfort zones to see what else is out there, but Leo will be the first to tell you to always treat yourself nicely to a comfy spot at home after a taxing day. 🛏

🚨New Client Alert🚨 Meet Maddie, a beautiful tortoiseshell kitty who is as skittish as she is beautiful! She lets you know when she wants to play by headbutting you, and her favorite toys are tinsel balls that she loves to fetch. 🐾

Maddie is such a pretty girl, and she is a perfect example of either a mosaic tortoiseshell or a tortoiseshell chimera! The only real way to find out if your kitty is a Chimera or a Mosaic is by DNA testing. Chimera cats are kitties that are born as the result of two fused embryos in the womb. This means that one chimera cat can have two sets of DNA! 🧬

Mosaic tortoiseshells, while they can have split faces like Maddie, are a little different. The genes in cats that can cause different fur colors are carried in X chromosomes. Female cats like Maddie carry two X chromosomes, one from each parent, and during embryonic development, one X chromosome is activated in each cell at random, which deactivates the other chromosome that carries the opposite color. With the cells activating at complete random, sometimes these torties can have half-and-half faces like sweet Maddie! 🖤🧡

Our primary focus is on the care of your canine and feline companions, though we’re happy to feed your finned and feathered friends too. We share your belief that our pets are our “fur children” and, as such, give your cat or dog the same love and attention one would give any child. Our dog-focused services include walking, sitting (in your home), boarding (in our home), feeding, medication administration and grooming, including regularly scheduled FURmination to maximize your dog’s comfort and minimize shedding in your home.
