Introducing our newest veterinarian, Dr. Rolando Silva!
Dr. Rolando Silva is a graduate of the The Autonomous University of Nuevo Leon in Monterrey, Mexico, where he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2015, followed by a Master’s of Science Degree in 2017. He first joined the Wrigleyville Veterinary Center team as a veterinary technician in 2021. While he worked as a technician, he diligently completed the requirements to become credentialed as a Veterinarian in the United States. In May of 2024, he finally earned his State of Illinois Veterinary License, and accepted a position as an Associate Veterinarian at Wrigleyville Veterinary Center!
Dr. Silva has a soft spot for puppies and senior canine patients, and is a firm believer that prevention is the best course of action when it comes to ensuring our pets are healthy. As a bilingual Veterinarian, he is always eager to help care for pets with Spanish-speaking owners.
Outside of work, Dr. Silva enjoys a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking and camping. He is passionate about his physical fitness, but also enjoys baking, photography, and going to the movies. In his free time, he can often be found spending time with his two pets, a lab/beagle mix named Ximena, and a brown domestic shorthair cat named Carlota.
