Did you know we can swap out your e-collar battery? If your system isn’t holding a charge or shuts off when you press a button, it is most likely a battery issue. We carry replacement batteries for the Dogtra collars we sell and can swap out for a flat fee of $35 which covers parts and labor. You can also replace yourself if you go on Dogtra’s website and purchase the correct battery.

When people find out I’m a dog trainer, they usually think cutest puppy stuff and tricks. Nope, my job is to keep the dog in the home which is a totally different ball game. It’s always a pleasure to work with clients who follow my instructions and put in the work even when it’s counter intuitive to everything we’re led to believe.

If you watched our IG live you’re aware of our frustrations as owners of a small business. The policies of the state of IL and city of Chicago are becoming less and less small business friendly. Causing many to close. The article is from a quick Google search and is an old article, but you get the point.

Elizabeth received this email from a local salon when she was in labor but didn’t see it until after our live. This is becoming the unfortunate reality of small business. If things continue like this at some point we will with be unable to afford to keep our doors open or will have to raise our rates so high that clients can no longer afford the services and we close anyway.

Even if everything seems perfect, one sudden quick movement from your child can trigger prey drive or startle a dog to nip or bite in response. // I’ve had Lexxi and Poncho for nearly 15 years and they’re not allowed in the nursery nor are they allowed within baby Jesusito’s intimate space (2-3 feet). Thank you all that joined and for those that couldn’t make it; here’s the TLDW: new Chicago policies have increased our operating costs substantially so we are at a point where we have to increase our prices. Daycare - $50 Boarding - $80 Transport has also increased to $25 for single ways, $40 for a single round trip, as low as $15 for bundled round trips. We are working on 2 dog bundles that will reflect an additional discount as well. Puppy Head Start and Puppy B&Ts are being discontinued. We will wrap up any current programs. Our Story

Canine Perspective is owned and operated by Jesus ‘Jesse’ San Miguel. Clients frequently refer to him as, “The Chicago Dog Whisperer.” This is because Jesse possesses a natural intuition. An ability to look at a dog’s behavior and determine the cause, as well as, the solution.

It is because of this, that he does not focus on obedience. Instead, he teaches his clients how to understand and communicate with dogs to address behavioral issues. He sees things from a canine’s perspective, therefore achieving lasting results within minutes of working with your pet. An attribute of a true Dog Whisperer!

Jesse set about acquiring his knowledge through volunteer work at a local animal shelter in Harlingen, Texas because dogs with behavior issues make up a majority of their population. Leading him to not limit himself to their friendly dogs, but most importantly, motivating him to work with the “problem” dogs. He began to see how a vast number were simply misunderstood. A few of the dogs had even been through obedience courses that did nothing to address the animal’s behavioral issues. Unfortunately, euthanization is the destination for many of them. Because of this, Jesse’s primary focus is to educate everyone on the importance of understanding dogs, as well as, their respective needs.

Realizing a need to learn more. Jesse began seeking out answers after working with two behavioral cases that were outside of his scope of knowledge at the time. Leading him to an internship with world renown dog trainer, Richard Heinz, “The Miami Dog Whisperer.”
