Sometimes dog attacks happen and there is nothing on the dog that you can grab so you have to think on your feet. Chances are if you are walking your dog, a leash is readily available. Knowing how to use your leash as a slip to choke out the attacking dog is a useful skill.

In many of the videos I review I see very obvious ways to stop a dog attack. Now, with the help of my puppet puppers, I can demonstrate how looking at what we have available and using it to our advantage.

One thing is a leash. If your dog is being attacked, chances are you have a leash with you. Taking the time to learn how to use that tool to choke out an attacking dog could save your dog's life.

Stopping A Dog Attack: Using A Collar To Choke A Dog Out Of A Bite, WARNING: GRAPHIC CONTENT

Too many people with powerful dogs that don't know how to get them to release should they attack another dog. The easiest and safest way to (there's always a risk though) get a dog to release is to choke them out. In this video, I show how to get a dog to release if they happen to have a flat collar, slip chain, or some other collar on their neck that I can twist to put pressure on the wind pipe.

Keep in mind, if you keep the hold for long enough the dog will pass out and if you go longer, you risk suffocating the dog.

Growing up with sick dogs and having a holistic-minded mother grew into a passion for making dogs healthier. Plus it is SO fun giving all the CP dogs treats and bullies 🤭.
