CHICAGO - Brownie, the brown eyed beauty, was abandoned by his owners outside of Famous Fido almost a year ago! Could it be with you???

He has been in boarding at our small facility ever since. He desperately needs a foster or furever home of his own. Brownie is a handsome, sweet, lovable and loving, 2 year-old, 60-pound, male Pit Bull Mix looking for a loving guardian. Brownie is fun and playful. He loves to play ball and fetch. He was found abandoned by his owners at 8 months old, but he walks well on leash, is housebroken and a

lready knows the commands sit and paw and takes treats gently. He is full of kisses and tail wags for everyone he meets. Brownie is a strong, energetic boy so would not be best for a home with small children right now. He is currently attending doggie daycare and getting socialization and manners training and doing awesome! Since he was abandoned at an early age and has been in boarding for so long he would do best in a home with an experienced owner who can continue with his training. As with all Famous Fido dogs, Brownie is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated. His adoption fee of $200 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s. Ella and Ranger, they're almost home from vacation, and you two better get it together. Did you rip up her special pillows on the bed?? One of those was from Miss Gloria at Famous Fido Rescue, a gift when I was adopted. I have had my eyes on you and expected better behavior for Miss Donna. Looks like you two have dug big holes in the yard, and the pet sitter had to mop the floor because you brought in mud. Shame on, shame on. 🫠

Good afternoon from heaven, and happy Thursday and happy National Pet Day. 😊

Momma had been busy acclimating this little guy, who they named Wrigley. She went and rescued him just before his time was up. He needs to gain back 15 to 20 pounds, which won't be an issue. 😆
The giraffasaurus has his work cut out because Wrigley has a lot to learn. Thankfully, Ella has changed her mind and decided to be friends instead of eating him. Good girl.

Why is it so hard to pick a name. I love Buddy, but it is so close to Brownie. I love Wrigley and Digby and others; but now Wrigley sounds like an "R" name, like Ranger and I don't know if that will mess up my husband since he gets all the names messed up, including our kids. Lol

This guy was going to be euthanized yesterday afternoon, so we decided that I would try going out there and see if he was still available and take him if he hadn't been picked up by someone.

This is the second time these two were playing together today, before it gets too hot. Ranger is an awesome dog, treating our guest so nicely. Watch them run!! She is off to the vet soon to check for a chip and get a look at her eye.

Here's our house guest playing and having fun. We hope that we will help get her back to her home if she has one. She is playing with all of the toys. 🥰 We are praying to get her to the vet tomorrow and praying for a chip!

What a show-off Ranger is. If he got out of the way, I could ring the bell, too. Want to go out? 🔔 Want to come in? 🔔 We wouldn't need a bell if he was smart enough to bark and not scratch the door!!
