Student spotlight! We are so proud of Remi, whose mom wasn't sure he would ever be ready for group class because of his dog reactivity. Here he is at Proofing at the Park, looking at dogs casually, and very excited about working at this foot targeting exercise. We've posted about him before, but this happy, wagging tail must be shared.

Conditioning happy associations with a muzzle can start out being as simple as feeding treats through the bottom of it. 😍
Speedy downs at Proofing at the Park. 😍 Next Saturday starts our new session!
Check out trainer Coralyn teaching Cupid the "sit pretty" trick. The first "puppy crunches" drill is a good introduction to this skill. Duration can be built by holding out on the reward and/or rapidly feeding in place. Resist the temptation to put your hand too high! And make sure that your dog is sitting squarely. Sitting pretty with knees and feet splayed out to the side puts harsh and unnecessary stress on the joints. You may in fact have to work on sitting with good posture + building core strength in other ways before introducing sitting pretty.
Gladys practices walking calmly past a dog she doesn't know!
Some serious concentration from the final 3 competitors of our "lie down" musical chair game, this morning at Proofing at the Park. 🥸
Watson @thelogansquarebears has clearly been waiting to show off his competition OB skills during class. 😍
Another successful Proofing at the Park class!
Adorable loose leash walking skills, brought to you by Freddie.
Puppy agility foundations with staff dog Hera! The fluff life is real.
