Drop-off is a perfect place for pups to stay cool this summer! They’ll learn some new skills and practice around other pups under close supervision.

We are starting a new series to get to know our training team a bit better!!! What better way than to start with our origin stories? First up is Susy! Susy’s first dog was a yorkiepoo named Dolly that her and her mom snuck home without her dad knowing. She was also known as canicas which means marbles in Spanish because of her eyes. Dolly was untrained but also just instinctively knew things. She also loved the trash (who doesn’t?) Susy went on to get a ton of experience working in dog daycares before becoming a trainer.

Susy is one of those people that dogs (even the shy and spicy pups) naturally feel safe with. We are so glad to have Susy on our team where her creativity, patience, and comfort with dogs of all shapes and sizes are huge assets. Next time you see Susy ask her about Grey’s Anatomy and bring her an iced strawberry refresher from Dunkin’. You’ll find Susy running our drop off training program, managing our facility on Elston, teaching our reactivity class and dreaming up fun new classes like our Paws on the Patio class!

Our next round of tricks classes start next Monday, June 9th! If you’re looking for a way to boost your pup’s confidence or a class that isn’t based on basic obedience, then our Fun S**t That’s Cute class is perfect for you. You can also get your pup’s tricks certifications from us. Come hang with us this summer!

We have exciting news - our little team has grown by one!!! Join us in welcoming Cailin to the Copilot team 🎉🎉🎉 Cailin comes to us with a ton of experience working on everything from training puppies to complex behavior modification cases. Her areas of interest include reactivity, stranger danger, and confidence building. When you meet Cailin, ask her about her pup Halas, paddle boarding, or the best taco spots in the city. Welcome Cailin - we are so lucky to have you!!!!

We had such a fun time during our first Paws on the Patio class! Shoutout to for letting us celebrate graduation with them over the weekend. This first class was amazing and each dog was a rock star! They’ll be living the patio life all summer long. ☀️ Next round starts June 4th at 7:15PM!

Yesterday, I said goodbye to Gambit. I know he’s happy to see Bea again, but I’m not too sure how to move forward without him. Gambit was found living in the woods of Tennessee with 30 other dogs and a man named Tony back in January of 2016. He was our first foster dog. He always maintained the essence of a dog from the woods, but he adapted to city life effortlessly. He was exactly the dog we needed at exactly the right time. Gambit was so easy going - I sometimes worry I didn’t fully meet his needs because he asked for so little. He loved car rides, lowkey hikes in the woods, peeing on lawn decorations, eating snow, stealing my spot on the couch, rolling around on his back like a bear, sniffing dog butts, butt rubs, and piles of blankets. I’m so glad I could be his copilot these past 9 years and I’m utterly lost without him by my side. In honor of Gambit, please let your pups sniff every single blade of grass. It’s exactly what he would want 💔
