Thank you to everyone who came out to our Grand Opening! What a blast. We wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for all of your amazing support over the past THREE years!

Announcement time 🎊 Please join us in welcoming Susy Vallejo to the Copilot team!! This week’s Copilot of the week is Zuko! When Zuko got adopted, we helped him adjust to city life and navigating living in a high-rise. We worked on lots of skills to navigate tight spaces and high-traffic areas. He LOVES training and was such a treat to work with. Yay team Zuko!

This week’s Copilot of the week is Kyra!! We did 1x1 sessions to work on building confidence and sensitivity to big-city noise.

Kyra’s humans put in a TON of work to make her feel more confident. They’re great at letting her decide how far or where to go. We also worked on tackling some of her specific noise sensitivity, and her walking radius has expanded enormously!!

This week’s Copilot of the week is Ronan!! We did one-on-one sessions after he was adopted by his foster mom. We worked on leash walking and adjusting to his new home.

Ronan is an absolute gentleman—he rocked rocked training and is basically the mayor of Lakeview now. Everyone who meets him loves him!

We’re so excited to be offering drop-off training starting January 14th!

If you want to get your pup out of the house two days a week, for a full day or half day, this is for you! We’ll train your puppy, socialize them with other dogs, and make sure they have lots of fun playing at our gorgeous new facility.

Every package includes 3 meetings with our trainers to make sure we transfer your pup’s new skills. We’ll also include videos, training handouts, and daily report cards. The days available are Tuesday and Thursday!

This week’s Copilot of the Week is Cosmo!!! We had the pleasure of working with this little guy 1x1 to address his reactivity, build confidence, and help him socialize with other dogs.

Cosmo now has SO many new dog friends after working on reducing his reactivity and slow introductions with new friends.

This week’s Copilot of the week is Stuffing! She did day training with Jess to work on basic skills and dog reactivity on walks. Stuffing learned lots of pattern games, 123 being her all time favorite. By the end of her three weeks of day training, Stuffing was able to calmly observe dogs at the park and even play focus games while dogs played around her. Way to go Stuffing!

This week’s Copilot of the week is Sam! He came to Copilot in April this year to help manage his excitement around people and dogs. Sam LOVES seeing friends - he’s never met a stranger. Sam has been working on pattern games to manage his emotions. He graduated to Calm Copilot and is looking forward to participating in more group classes to practice his skills!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! In some ways I’m truly dreading 2025 and what is coming. But I’m also immensely grateful that we live in a city that has supported a women-owned, women-run small business. I wanted to build a space that is truly welcoming and positive - and I’m thankful that we have the kind of clients that have made that possible. I’m also thankful for our amazing team of trainers who give SO MUCH of themselves to make every client feel supported. Thank you to every one of you for supporting us this year and see you at our grand opening in January!!

We are changing up the way we train puppies! Our next puppy class starts Saturday, February 1 and is a rolling admissions class! Our goal with this switch is to get puppies into class SOONER so that we can take advantage of the peak socialization window that ends around 14-16 weeks. When we say socialization, we mean a lot more than playing with other pups. While we will introduce some basic training cues as well, the focus will be much more heavy on socializing your pup for the urban environment, introducing your puppy to new textures, sounds, handling, playtime, and experiences. This is a 4 week class that you can join at ANY time (the classes will rotate content on a 4 week cycle. See you in class!

Poppy is hoping everyone had a great start to their New Year! She wanted to tell you that more winter classes will be dropped this week! Check our bio to be added to the email list so you can be the first to know. See you in class!

Thank you to all our puppies who have taken our new classes this fall and come to playgroups! It’s been so fun seeing them grow, and we can’t wait to continue to be a part of their training journey 🤗
