Hello Neighbors! I was heartbroken to hear that one of my staff members dog's ran away today, 10/19/23 at approximately 2:30 pm. Nina & Roxy live by Senn Park and we are hoping someone found them.
We are contacting all shelters.

This notice appeared on NextDoor for Uptown/Edgewater:

"I found her Friday 7/7 at the intersection of Glenwood and Catalpa with no collar or tags. I took her to a vet and she is chipped. I’ve contacted the AKC- reunite who she is registered with and they’ve provided my contact info to the person she’s registered to but nobody has contacted me yet."

The dog looks familiar to me.

Puptown Lighting Proposal

Friends,

We had 50 individuals sign our petition to the Ward to install lighting in Puptown. Most of the signatures included comments expressing strong support for our proposal. Thank you for the overwhelming response!

We are confident that our proposal is a "no brainer." Obviously, we cannot guarantee a favorable response, but our collective voices have been heard. We are thrilled to see such broad support for Puptown.

We also had a great evening last Sunday for our holiday tree trimming gathering. Special thanks to Art Nolan and Bela Barner for providing treats. And a big "Thank You" to Hannah, our resident gardner, for trimming our holiday tree.

Wishing you the best holiday season imaginable, and a healthy and prosperous 2023!

The 46th ward has $1.5 million in "menu funds" that can be put towards a variety of neighborhood investments.

We are submitting a request for lighting to be installed to make Puptown even better for our many stakeholders.

We will have leaves to rake and bag, flower beds to prep, and gravel to rake. Please lend a hand!

We will provide coffee, donuts, hot chocolate, and supplies.

A park patron kindly reported to us last week that people were entering and exiting the park via the pedestrian gate located at the north end of the park. This creates an "escape" risk and is not allowed. Please always enter and exit the park via the double set of gates located at the west side of the park. The north pedestrian gate has been secured.

Two personal items may have been lost recently at Puptown:

One owner reported missing a Flexi retractable dog leash with a hard yellow case. It may have been taken by mistake from the hanging rock next to the exit gate.

Another visitor reported possibly losing a black wallet on Saturday around 11am. The wallet may have fallen into the flower bed area in the center of Puptown.

If you find either item, please let us know!
