Katelyn is one of our licensed veterinary technicians that we simply would be lost without! Patient care, teamwork, and quality medicine are some of her strongest traits to name a few. She absolutely thrives and shines in our fast paced work environment and although it can be stressful at times, she is always happy to help. You will find her cuddling with her patients post op, comforting them, and ensuring their experience with us is as low stress and as pain free as possible. 🚨 Important Update: Leptospirosis Now a Core Vaccine for ALL Dogs
The 2022 AAHA Canine Vaccination Guidelines have been updated to classify the leptospirosis vaccine as CORE for all dogs starting at 12 weeks of age – regardless of lifestyle, location, or breed.
Why the change?
🌆 ALL dogs are at risk—urban, suburban, and rural.
⚠️ Potentially fatal, even with treatment.
🔄 Zoonotic—it can spread from pets to humans.
🏢 Dogs in daycare and kennels also face exposure risks.

‼️Friends‼️ We need you‼️

We ended our National Cat Day yesterday with one of the most tragic kitty cases to date.

A Good Samaritan witnessed a kitten stuck in a car door by the tail and being dragged down the road. He was amazing enough to maneuver his car in front of this person (an elderly woman who had no idea what was happening) and stop the vehicle. He brought the poor kitten in immediately. He was SO scared, traumatized, painful, and EXTREMELY lucky.

⚠️ Below are photos of his paws, which will require intensive wound care for quite a while, likely under sedation until he is less painful. He is sweet and young, probably about 4 months old. We have named him Mittens.

We are begging for help with his care as this can get pretty pricey. We have already exhausted our Lend A Paw Fund with our last emergency stray case and are working hard to rebuild it for cases like these. If you can find it in your heart to spare a few dollars or some change, Mittens would be very appreciative, as would we.

This sweet boy is Binx. He jumped out of his mommas car this morning while coming for a visit for his wound and ran away. He is likely terrified and hiding. Please keep your eyes open and let us know if you spot him. His momma misses him already and is very worried!
