Meet “Rocket” a 12 week old Bernadoodle. He learned to sit and heel on a loose leash during his first puppy lesson. With large dogs it is very important to start obedience training early for the dog to develop impulse control before their size makes gaining control more difficult.

Meet these two beautiful Springer Spaniels “Jazzy” & “Teal”. They had become problematic for their owner to walk especially when they encountered another dog. After two private lessons they were walking obediently and calmly even when other dogs approached.

Meet “Nellie” who was uncontrollable at the beginning of this lesson. She was all over the place pulling & not even acknowledging there was a person on the end of the leash. She didn’t respond to any amount of physical correction. We introduced her to the e-collar and this is her walking on a loose leash for her owner 45 minutes into her first lesson.

My assistant Danica, teaching “Keaton” to walk at heel on a loose leash amid the distractions of the many other dogs at the park. He was very reactive wanting to chase cars and act aggressive to other dogs. This is his second private lesson and he is a very quick learner. His owners Donna & Mike are watching.

Had my assistant (granddaughter Danica) with me today to work with “Sammie” a two year old Frenchie. She’s visiting from Canada where she has been training her Aussie “Rocky” in Agility.

Meet “Sammie” a one & a half year old Frenchie. She started a series of five private lessons today. She jumps up on people and becomes difficult for her owner to control when the grandchildren visit or she encounters another dog or squirrel on her walks. Frenchie,s are very intelligent, quick learners but can be very active, determined dogs that are physically very strong as well.

These dogs are on their fourth session of our six week obedience class. They didn’t start out this chill! All are making great progress. Next class starts September 5 at Ho**er Oak Park.

Meet “Sadie” a recent rescue. Her owners were very frustrated a trying to walk her on a flat collar with constant pulling. This is her walking at heel with her owner on a loose leash and chain collar after 30 minutes of training.
