y large cat colony in lower Bidwell Park. Over the years, we removed over 1000 cats from the park, and have adopted out over 700 cats. These rescues benefit the cats and the people of Chico who use and enjoy the park. Had these cats not been trapped and altered, the feline population in that area would have grown tremendously over the last decade, leading to an unhealthy and hazardous situation for all.
