Two of our first fresheners this year (video taken on June 1). They both turned two at the end of May. Gold doe is Ivy Acres A Caramel Frappe and black doe is Ivy Acres Z Topaz.

Whenever I open the mailbox and see the milk test paperwork, it feels like Christmas morning! I love looking at the numbers. We had a few does that completed their 305 day lactations on or prior to our last milk test. I’m really excited about the daughters of Amethyst Acres ZT Fonzie +*B +VV86 2-03 (+pending ADGA) and their ability to fill the pail!

Ivy Acres F Candy 8*M (pending ADGA) milked 937 lbs of milk with 61 lbs of fat and 40 protein as a FIRST freshener!

Ivy Acres F Cleopatra 1*M +++V84 1-03(pending ADGA) milked 1283 lbs of milk with 75 lbs of fat and 58 protein as a second freshener!

The most exciting is Ivy Acres F Hot Cocoa 8*M milked a whopping 1142 lbs of milk with 70 lbs of fat and 50 protein as a FIRST FRESHENER!

We were considering keeping these girls in milk a little longer in hopes to get them appraised, but it looks like that is not happening for us this year, so they are now being dried off.

So excited to announce that SG Better Wayz Holy Cannoli 6*M VEEE91 6-06 won Grand Champion and BoB in both rings at the NEODGA show last weekend as an 8 y/o 7th freshener.

It has been a crazy busy week so I haven’t had much time to post about last weekends show. King Tut won GCH buck, Scrunchy won Reserve GCH junior doe, and Sparkle won GCH and BOB Sr doe(I don’t have the ring info with me or other placings, so not even going to attempt to mention that right now). So thankful to the show committee for all their hard work and making it such a fun weekend at the WPDGA show.

Yesterday Ivy Acres A Total Knockout 2*M kidded triplets sired by Ivy Acres Z Thunder Bolt *B and they are adorable! Two bucks and a doe, all with blue eyes.

We had a very busy, but fun weekend at the Western Reserve Dairy Goat show! It was great seeing all our goat friends again and seeing lots of beautiful animals!
We took 6 does in milk and 6 yearlings Saturday, and added 5 doe kids on Sunday.

🥇Ivy Acres Z Topaz took first place yearling milker both days and won Reserve Grand Champion on Sunday!

🥇Ivy Acres F Candy placed 5th and 1st. She is a 2 y/o first freshener and last kidded JUNE 2023!! So impressed at how well she did in the ring at almost a year in milk! As a first freshener!

Ivy Acres S Foxy Lady placed 4th both days. She is a 3 y/o second freshener that kidded in April.

Ivy Acres F Cleopatra placed 7th and 8th. She is a 3 y/o second freshener that kidded July 2023.

Better Wayz Holy Cannoli placed 2nd both days. She is an 8 y/o doe that kidded in February.

Better Wayz Jewels Sparkle placed 3rd both days. She is an 8 year old doe and last kidded July 2023.

Moonlight kidded Thursday at 1 am with quads (3 bucks, 1 doe). Doeling will be available on the bottle in a week or two without papers. Bucklings will go as wethers but I have some reservations to go through before I offer them for sale.

Last night was a very long night. Wish decided 1 am was a good time to kid her large single buckling, during a snowstorm. Cannoli decided to follow suit at 3 am with her twin bucklings. Only one more doe due to kid in February.

Currently in milk and also confirmed pregnant for 2024
Sonora is a first freshener with a very nicely attached udder. She is a very wide doe. She has a pedigree packed with some really great producers. Her sires dam has been 99% on the elite list since 2020. Her dam is also on the elite list 2022 and 2023 and milked over 1000 # as a second freshener. I would love to see this doe go to a performance home where she can continue to prove herself.
