Currently I have a full time job and farm full time afterwards. Previously a Chef who started urban farming with microgreens, hydroponics and backyard growing. Now I've expanded to 5 acre property here on Alum Cliff Road, Chillicothe where I will expand my operations and enterprises so I can provide more to my community instead just a few families and neighbors. I've always had passion for making

and growing food since I was a little kid. Before the internet, I walked half hour to the public library and bring back a mountain of gardening books each week. I still have that passion to learn and experience how to grow things.

Hydroponic greenhouse progress this week. Table 2 and 3 complete! Replaced old vinyl cover with anti-condensation film and bubble layered it! Getting final winter door and anti chicken gate on today. Automatic side rollers, auto vent fans, and propane heater. Gots lots of lettuce to harvest for this weekend. Hope to see you this Saturday 10am-noon at the Chillicothe Farmers Market! Ohh weee! It’s getting frosty now! Definitely my tender summer crops are dead for sure (tomatoes, zuchinni, basil)! It’s probably the last week of any of most summer crops after this week. Never know for sure because we are in this weird bubble in southern ohio. Remember the farmer market goes on year round! I’m scheming right now what I’m gonna be growing during winter. I would already have things ready if I didn’t have to file taxes! So it all done and im ready to get back to farming! Hope R kitchen food truck stays around for winter market days! They are an amazing addition to the farmers market!

Hey all you loyal patrons! I will be taking a break from the Farmers Market this Saturday. I will make a few things available on the Online Store. For those who regularly get eggs from me, you will have to come to the farmstead on Saturday or Sunday and ask for them. I will put them aside for you. We are only 3 miles down the road from the Western Ave KFC. The Honor Stand will be open this weekend.

Made a new bubbler today for cleaning greens!

Well Sh$t! First day using my brand new tractor and it’s leaking hydronic fluid! Haven’t even taken the plastic floor mats off yet.

Today is one of harvesting days! Decided to take a few minutes to record you a behind the scene take on me harvesting hydroponic lettuce! Enjoy. #hydroponicfarming

Ewwwww Stink Bugs! I hate them! It’s that time of the year, you will see an infestation trying to find your home a place to hibernate through winter. A good pesticide to use is a simple dawn soap and water spray. These buggers breathe through tiny holes on the sides of there exoskeleton. The soap clogs them up and they suffocate. Usually dying within 10-20 seconds. Did you know, stinks bugs are not a naturally part ohios ecosystem. They escaped a lab in Pennsylvania in the 90’s and the first sittings of them in Ohio was in 2007. They are very destructive on vegetables and they have no natural predators here in Ohio. I’m predicting these buggers are going to have a big impact on our food production. For me, Im seeing it nearly impossible to grow tomatoes, peppers, squash, cucumbers, beans, and any other fruiting vegetables without the use of pesticides. I’ve increasing having to change my harvesting and outdoor/greenhouse growing to overcome these destructive insects. Did I say I hate stink bugs!
