Gianna is Ready to Party… in 7-14 Days! 🚨

Gianna is fresh off her spay appointment and recovering like a champ, which means she’ll be ready to celebrate (gently, of course) in no time! This 3-year-old, 50ish lb suspected shepherd mix is looking for a home where she can finally settle in and relax.

She’s met a few dogs her size and did just fine, though she’s still figuring out social cues. Car rides? Not her favorite yet. Crates? Meh, she could take them or leave them. But we think with just a little patience, routine, and love, Gianna will adjust beautifully to home life.

Scott

Scott is a 1-year-old, 35lb mystery mix—your guess on his breed is as good as ours! What we do know is that he’s the perfect medium-sized companion and likely won’t get any bigger.

Scott can be a little nervous at first, but he’s figuring things out and starting to come out of his shell. During dog assessments, he seemed interested in playing but wasn’t quite sure how, so he may need a little guidance in learning proper play manners. With time, patience, and the right playmate, he’ll likely grow into a confident, playful pup!

Meet Mateo! 🐾

Mateo is just a baby—5 months old and around 20lbs—with plenty of growing still to do! He’ll likely be a medium-large sized dog when fully grown, and right now, he’s all about puppy energy, mischief, and adventure.

Like most puppies, Mateo is a pro at causing chaos and chewing on things he probably shouldn’t (RIP to your favorite shoes in advance). But he’s also full of love, curiosity, and that goofy charm that makes puppies so irresistible. With some patience, training, and plenty of chew toys, he’ll grow into a fantastic companion.

Meet Alora! 🐾

Alora is a gentle, timid soul looking for a patient and understanding home. At around 5 years old and 50lbs, this shepherd mix has a soft, cautious nature, but with time and kindness, she begins to show her sweet and loving personality.

New situations and introductions can make Alora a little nervous at first, but she’s learning that the world isn’t so scary. She approaches new dogs and people with some initial hesitation, but given slow introductions and reassurance, she warms up and does well. She seems to be a bit more comfortable with women, but with patience, she can build trust with anyone willing to earn it.

Despite her shyness, Alora has a playful side! She absolutely loves balls and a good game of fetch—once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily chase after a ball and bring it right back for another round. She also knows the “sit” command and is eager to learn more with a little encouragement.

Alora is the definition of a “chicken baby”—a little unsure of things at first but so full of love once she feels safe. She would do best in a calm, supportive home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace.

Beddar Cheddar

Beddar Cheddar has been with us for a while now, and unfortunately, shelter life is starting to take a toll on him. The constant noise, movement, and overstimulation are causing him to decline mentally, and we hate seeing this sweet boy struggle. 💔

At only 20lbs, this pint-sized pup is even cuter in person and has so much potential in the right home. At around 5 years old, he’s past the puppy phase but still needs some work on housetraining—belly bands will be your best friend until he settles in. But with patience, love, and consistency, he’ll learn!

Triscuit is still waiting! 🐾

Somehow, this fun-loving, 1-year-old, 65lb lab mix still hasn’t found his forever home. We don’t get it—Triscuit is the total package! He’s friendly, goofy, dog-social, and always ready to make you laugh with his big, happy personality.

Triscuit came to us as a stray, but he hasn’t let shelter life dull his spirit. He’s still his lovable, snack-sized self (okay, family-sized), and he’s been handling the shelter environment like a champ. But as much as we love him, a shelter is no place for a young, active dog who just wants a family to call his own.

✅ Great with other dogs (even when they jump on him—he’s unbothered)
✅ Knows his basic commands (sit, shake, and takes treats like a gentleman)
✅ Full of love & energy (he’s got zoomies, cuddles, and playtime all covered)
✅ Fully grown at 65lbs (just the right amount of squish)

Nolan

This handsome 3-year-old, 51lb retriever mix is looking for his perfect match! Nolan was found as a stray, and his finder kept him for a while, but he and their resident dog were getting into fights in the home. We can't say for certain if it was a situational issue or just not a good match.

We have assessed Nolan with other dogs, and while he did okay with some, he showed some signs of dominance with others. Because of this, we recommend a meet-and-greet and a 7-day foster period to make sure he's a good fit for your home, especially if you already have other dogs. Nolan would also be just fine as an only pet!

Meet Old Greg! 🐶👃

Don’t let the name fool you—Old Greg isn’t really that old! At 8 years young and 30 pounds, this beagle is still full of life and, like any true beagle, has his nose to the ground at all times. If you’ve ever wanted a four-legged detective to sniff out every crumb in your house (or backyard), Greg’s your guy!

Greg recently tested positive for Lyme disease, but don’t worry—he’s already started treatment and is feeling just fine. He’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue living his best beagle life. Whether he’s following a scent trail, lounging in the sun, or begging for a snack with those classic beagle eyes, Greg is sure to keep you entertained.

🚨 Meet Shiloh: The Scruffy Senior with a Heart of Gold! 🚨

If you’ve been searching for a 13lb best friend with questionable genetics and even more questionable teeth, Shiloh is your guy. He’s around 10 years old, ridiculously friendly, and most likely some kind of doodle-ish mix—because let’s be real, everyone loves to doodle things these days.

Shiloh came to us as a stray, which means we don’t have his life story, his Hogwarts house, or his thoughts on cats. And to be honest, if one more person asks us that today, we might just lay down in the kennels and never get back up.

What we do know:
✔ Friendly. Like, REALLY friendly.
✔ Scraggly teeth, but all the charm.
✔ Perfect size for your lap, your couch, or your life.
✔ In need of a retirement home that appreciates a little gray around the muzzle and orange around the teeth, or something like that.

Willow, formerly known as Burgermeister, is a nine-month-old mix of 50 percent American Pit Bull Terrier and 50 percent Belgian Malinois, German Shepherd, and Dutch Shepherd. She is a highly intelligent, energetic dog looking for an active home that can provide the structure, training, and stimulation she needs to thrive.

Why You’ll Love Willow:
- Housebroken and understanding of some basic commands – She knows sit and down.
- Dog-friendly – Non-reactive to dogs her size and enjoys playtime.
- Highly intelligent and scent-driven – She would excel with training, scent work, or an active lifestyle.
- Loyal and loving – She bonds strongly with her people.
- Spayed and up to date on all vaccines – Ready to go.

What Willow Needs:
- A patient adopter – She is still young and learning, so she needs someone committed to working with her.
- Training for mouthiness and impulse control – Like many young, high-energy dogs, she is very mouthy and needs guidance on appropriate play and bite inhibition.
- A home without cats – She showed strong interest in the cat in her previous home, so a feline-free environment would be best. There were never any incidents, but she was a little too rough and interested in cats for us to say she will continue to be friends with them.
- Positive crate training or an alternative setup – She has some anxiety about crates, but with time and patience, she can learn.
- An outlet for her energy – Walks, training sessions, and activities to keep her engaged. She needs mental stimulation as well as physical.
- A home that understands her anxiety medication and is open to using it if needed – Willow was on Trazodone in her previous home and continues it in the shelter due to the overwhelming environment. However, we believe that with proper exercise, structure, and enrichment, she may not need medication in a stable home.

Willow has shown some uncertainty around kids, but she has never been reactive—just unsure. With time and proper socialization, we believe she will gain confidence.

She is going to be a fantastic dog for the right home. If you are looking for a smart, athletic companion who will thrive with training and adventure, Willow is the perfect match.

Ever wished for a dachshund with a little extra kick? Well, meet Kevin—the 14lb dynamo with a big personality and even bigger confidence! This 1-year-old dachshund/min pin mix is bursting with charm, sass, and just the right amount of attitude.

✅ People-loving firecracker – Friendly, feisty, and full of energy!
✅ Pocket-sized powerhouse – 14lbs of confidence, thinks he’s 140.
✅ Dog selective – Warms up with slow introductions, prefers small dogs but has done well with bigger dogs like a Golden Retriever and a Frenchie.
✅ Knows what he wants – If another dog brings the drama, Kevin won’t back down.
✅ Spokesdog for barking – If you like a quiet dog… Kevin is not that guy.

This is Scrappy, and let’s just say—he’s seen some stuff. 😅 We’ve made a few jokes about Scrappy (that we can’t share because, well, some of you are sensitive), but we promise—this guy’s been through a lot.

When Scrappy came to us, he was matted down to the skin—so badly that it was starting to affect his circulation. 😬 But after a basic shave down by our amazing staff, Scrappy is looking and feeling much better! Despite his "crypt keeper" teeth, Scrappy is a sweet, funny guy who’s been showing us his true personality. ❤️

This is as real as it gets—trying to snap some photos of Queen Lilian turned into an impromptu cuddle session! This sweet girl has been with us for 2 months, and somehow, she’s been overlooked by everyone. But let us tell you, she is the epitome of sweetness. Despite her long stay, she keeps her kennel spotless, and her joyful personality hasn’t wavered one bit. At 5 years old, she’s in that perfect "solid adult" phase, ready for walks, playtime, and plenty of grass-rolling. Queen Lilian is good with dogs, and we’re confident she’d do well with kids too.
