Meet Ash – A Beautiful Dilute Tortie Ready for Her Forever Home!

Ash is a lovely dilute tortoiseshell cat, born around August 6, 2024. She’s now spayed, fully vetted, and ready to find a loving forever home. Ash has a sweet and gentle nature, and she would do well in a home with other feline friends. Kittens, like Ash, thrive when they have a companion to help them develop social cues and grow into well-adjusted adults, so adopting her with another kitten or having other cats in the home would be ideal!

Dino is a resilient and loving cat who has been through a lot and is now ready for his forever home. Found as an injured stray, Dino came to our shelter in desperate need of help. We provided him with a full dental workup, so he now requires his dry food to be watered down and enjoys some nice canned pate wet food for breakfast.
Born on February 29, 2017, Dino is FIV positive. However, there's no need to worry—FIV cats can live long, normal lives; they just have weakened immune systems and need a bit more care. Dino was also found with a large open wound on half of his neck, which has now completely healed, and he is feeling much better.
Despite his tough past, Dino is a total sweetheart. He can be a bit shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he reveals his affectionate nature and delightful purr. Dino deserves a quiet, peaceful forever home where he can feel safe and loved after all he's been through. Come meet Dino during our open cat viewing hours Monday's 12p-4p, Friday's 12p-5p, Saturday's 10a-1p!

🐾Here are some helpful tips on keeping pets safe during winter, especially when it comes to managing cold weather hazards like the cold temperatures we are experiencing.

Bundle Up Pets: Short-haired dogs may need sweaters for protection during walks to avoid frostbite or hypothermia, especially on exposed skin like noses, ears, and paws.

Wipe Paws: After walks, wipe down your pet's paws to remove harmful chemicals like rock salt and prevent irritation or ingestion.

Antifreeze Awareness: Antifreeze is highly toxic to pets. Clean up spills promptly and store chemicals safely. Opt for less toxic alternatives like propylene glycol-based coolants.

Outdoor Pets: Make sure outdoor dogs and cats have proper shelter to protect them from the cold and weather. Ensure community cats and wildlife also have access to shelter and food.

Protecting Small Animals: Check under car hoods before starting the engine to avoid harming hidden animals attracted to warmth.

Winter Safety for Wildlife: Take precautions, please contact your local wildlife rehabilitation center if you have found wildlife in need of help. Baybeach Wildlife Sanctuary at (920) 391-3671 or Pine View Wildlife at (262) 692-9021

By following these winter care guidelines, pet owners can ensure the safety and well-being of their animals during harsh conditions.

Please contact your trusted veterinarian immediately if you have medical concerns for a pet in need. Here at Eastshore we will accommodate our furry friends in need, if you have found a stray animal in need outside of our operating hours please bring the pet inside and contact your non emergency police or town constable so they can assist with bringing the animal to the shelter. Please note we are not a wildlife rehabilitation center please contact your local wildlife rehabilitation center for assistance with wildlife in need. 🐈🐕

We are reaching out for your help in providing wet dog food for the few hoarding case dogs we have yet while they await their forever homes. These dogs have been loving Purina Pro Plan Entree (please, no chunky in gravy), and we would greatly appreciate any donations!

We would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude to all the adopters and interested applicants from the hoarding case we received back in November. We are continuing to carefully process all applications and schedule meet-and-greets for interested families.🐾

Comet *DOB: 12-19-2019* Meet Comet, the stunning, fun, and loving pup looking for his forever home! This beautiful blue-eyed boy came to us from another rescue due to overcrowding, and he's ready to find a loving family to call his own. Comet is potty trained, leash trained, and knows most basic commands. He seems to get along well with other friendly dogs and kids, making him a perfect addition to any home. If you’d like to meet this handsome, happy boy, apply online today. Once your application is processed and approved, our staff will contact you to arrange a meet and greet. Meet Elda, a lovely cat who, after being adopted as a kitten and living in a home, now finds herself in the shelter due to her previous owner's mental health challenges. Born on March 9, 2011, Elda is spayed, fully vetted, and ready for a loving forever home. Elda is understandably scared and overwhelmed by the shelter environment, having spent her whole life in the privacy of a home. She deserves a calm and caring home where she can feel safe and loved. Hermann here is tired of his 9-5 and would really like to get out if the shelter and into retirement at a FURever home 🥰💼 Hermann has quite the personality and is such a fun coworker. He is our office cat so he has free range of the shelter throughout the day “helping” us work! As much as he loves working here he’s ready to retire at the ripe age of a year and a half. He’s looking for a nice couch to lounge around on all day and some people he could follow and become a shadow. He loves everyone he meets and is such a cuddler! He is FIV positive which won’t require any extra vet care. We recommend looking into FIV before getting a cat with this condition especially if you have other cats. FIV cats can be together with other cats but you have the risk of spreading it to your cats. They don’t require extra vet care but if they do get sick it might hit them worse and be more serious then any normal cat. Overall they are normal cats and can live a king happy healthy life!
