**Important Update: Investigation Underway **

We are currently working closely with the Fond Du Lac D.A. and Sheriff's Department as part of an ongoing investigation. Please be patient with us during this time. We will continue to provide updates as the situation progresses and the dogs become available for adoption. -Please note at this time we are not able to release dogs out of our facility for adoption or foster until the courts come to a decision, we know this is upsetting but we are working around the clock to make sure these precious dogs get the justice and voice they deserve! We still are taking applications but can not give a specific timeline until Fond Du Lac county court system works to bring justice and have the dogs relinquished to our full custody-

In the meantime, don't forget about the 120 cats and 10 dogs who are ready for their forever homes! Adopting these pets opens up space for the incoming animals, and every adoption helps.

A huge thank you to everyone who has been supporting usā€”whether through volunteering or donations. We truly appreciate everything youā€™re doing to help. We still need your continued support, so keep being amazing!

šŸ„°THANK YOU TO ALLšŸ„°

ā¤ļøWe are in continual awe of the support we've received from this incredible community! Your generosity means the world to us. Please bear with us as we work to get everything in order. Reminder for volunteers, please send in an application via our website before coming in. We are working hard to respond to calls, emails, and PMs. For volunteering, please show up during our shelter hours and ask staff how you can help.

As we continue into the 3rd day of the recent 70 dog hoarding case we wanted to say, Thank you so much for your incredible support! We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and generosity from so many individuals, businesses, and organizations. Since receiving the 70 dogs on Wednesday evening, our small nonprofit has been working tirelessly to provide the care these dogs urgently need. Gracious groomers from all over have come in to help give these dogs much needed relief, see pictures attached!

Unfortunately, many of them are in severe condition and will require extensive medical care, including numerous vet visits and treatments. The medical bills are expected to be astronomical, and we are reaching out to ask for your help in covering these costs so we can continue our work and give these dogs the best chance at a healthy, happy future.

While we are so grateful for the donations of goods and time, right now, our greatest need is monetary support to cover the medical expenses. If you would like to contribute, here are a few ways you can help:

Donate via PayPal: PayPal Giving Fund-https://www.paypal.com/US/fundraiser/charity/1995595
Send a Check: 1100 Park Street, PO Box 320, Chilton, Wisconsin 53014
Credit Card Donations: You can also donate via credit card by calling us. Due to high call volumes, if we miss your call, please leave a message with your name and phone number, and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a huge difference in helping us provide the care these dogs need to heal and find their forever homes.

Once again, thank you for your tremendous support. Together, we can make a real impact in these dogs' lives and help them become the healthy, loving companions they deserve to be. We will continue to update you on their progress and share their stories as they make their way toward recovery.

With heartfelt gratitude,
[Eastshore Humane Association]

A Heartfelt Thank You and Urgent Appeal for Support

We are truly at a loss for words in expressing just how grateful, overwhelmed, and deeply moved we are by the outpouring of support and generosity shown to our small, private organization and the neglected dogs in our care.

Since taking in 70 dogs from the Town of Calumet late last Wednesday evening, we have been working around the clock to provide them with the care they so desperately need. These animals, who have suffered neglect and abuse, are now entrusted to us, and we are committed to giving them the love and medical attention they deserve.

Our staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to meet the overwhelming demand. However, the volume of animals weā€™ve taken in ā€” coupled with our already stretched capacity ā€” has pushed us to limits we never imagined. We have been operating at full capacity for months, and this influx has challenged us in ways we didnā€™t foresee.

We are deeply moved by the support from individuals, businesses, organizations, and fellow shelters/rescues who have reached out to us during this difficult time. Your generosity and kindness have brought our team to tears, and we simply cannot thank you enough. The compassion youā€™ve shown these animals is more than we ever expected, and it is making all the difference.

How You Can Help:

As we continue to care for these animals, we urgently need your continued support. We are currently seeking:

Monetary Donations: Any amount ā€” whether itā€™s $1, $20, or more ā€” will help us provide critical medical treatment, vaccinations, and other care these dogs need. As a small, private nonprofit, we rely entirely on donations, grants, and fundraising efforts, as we receive no funding from the County of Calumet or the City of Chilton.

Cleaning Supplies: The condition the dogs arrived in has required us to use an abundance of cleaning supplies. We are urgently in need of:

Bleach
Dawn or other dish soap
Paper towels
Garbage bags
Laundry detergent (any kind)
Gloves
Volunteers: We are also in desperate need of volunteers to help us care for the over 120 cats and now a large number of dogs at the shelter. If you have the time, we would love to have you join us during our updated shelter hours. Volunteers are needed for feeding, cleaning, and general animal care. Please visit our website or page for more information on volunteer opportunities. Once your application is submitted please feel free to come into the shelter when you have time to help, no need to make a special appointment time!

A Special Thank You:

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Fond du Lac Sheriff's Office, the Fire Department, First Responders, and all the local news stations and journalists who have shared our story and helped raise awareness of the urgent needs of these animals.

We also want to thank everyone who has reached out, whether by phone, email, social media, or in person. Your patience and understanding during this busy and overwhelming time are greatly appreciated.

We know this is a challenging time for everyone, but with your help, we can continue to provide the care and love these animals deserve. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of this incredible mission. Without people like you, we couldnā€™t do the work that we do.

With heartfelt gratitude,
[Jennifer Schultz- Shelter Manager& Eastshore Staff/ Volunteers]

Urgent Help Needed: Eastshore Humane Association Overwhelmed by Animal Hoarding Case

This afternoon, Eastshore Humane Association was called by the Fond Du Lac County Sheriffā€™s Office to assist in a large-scale animal hoarding and neglect situation. With no warning, our small team responded to help, expecting to find 20 to 30 dogs. By 9 p.m. tonight, we had rescued 70 dogsā€”ranging from newborn puppies to senior dogsā€”in deplorable conditions.

Our shelter is already at maximum capacity with a dedicated but small staff, and we urgently need your help to provide these animals with the care and second chance they deserve.

How You Can Help:
Volunteer: We need extra hands for caring for these dogs, helping with feeding, cleaning, and general care. Our volunteer applications can be found right on our website!

Monetary Donations: Any amount helps cover medical expenses, food, and shelter costs for these dogs. Our Link to our PayPal giving fund is: https://www.paypal.com/US/fundraiser/charity/1995595
Checks can be mailed to 1100 Park Street, PO Box 320 Chilton WI 53014

Donations of Supplies:

Purina Dog Chow (Little Bites preferred)
Purina Puppy Chow
Purina Pro Plan Wet Dog Food (Puppy/Adult)
Dog Bowls/Dishes
Potty Pads
Small Dog Collars & Leashes
Dog Toys
We are grateful for the swift response of the Fond Du Lac Sheriff's Department, Town of Calumet officials, Fire Department, and The Neenah Animal Shelter as well as Fond du Lac Humane Society for coming to our aid to support in rescuing these dogs from the horrific conditions they were in.

Please Share: We need the communityā€™s support more than ever. If you can lend a helping handā€”whether by volunteering, donating supplies, or contributing fundsā€”it will make a world of difference for these animals in desperate need of care.
Thank you for your understanding and for helping us navigate this crisis. We are suspending intakes at this time to focus on these 70 dogs, and we are working closely with other local shelters for further assistance. We appreciate your patience as we manage this overwhelming situation!!

šŸ‘©ā€šŸ‘¦ā€šŸ‘¦This Whisker Wednesday is featuring mama Marge and her two boys, Bart and Millhouse.

These 3 came in together as strays along with a sister who has been adopted. Marge's estimated date of birth is 6-21-23. She is fully vetted and ready to explore your home. Marge is still working on her confidence in humanes; however, she adores being in our free roaming cat room and would love to have a cat companion in her forever home.
The boys were born around 4-12-24 and are also fully vetted and ready to head out. Although not bonded, they would love to be adopted together or have a feline friend already in home.
These three are spunky and have so much love to give. Come check them out!
