Sadly, our hay fundraiser is far from reaching our goal. Seraphina is giving you that look. Can you help? We are still in need of 34 bales. Baby Faith has really grown up. Not many baby cows get to be raised by their mom and dad. If you’ve been out to the sanctuary, you know Faith is as big as her mama, Hope. It’s because of her mom and hay. It’s been a few weeks and we are down to our last few bales. Thank you so much if you can help. 21 bales will run us around 333. Thank you if you can help.

All the goats and Noah sheep got their hooves trimmed today. It was a gloomy day, rainy, and muddy. These types of weather days drain my energy. Luckily, it’s the exact type of weather none of the goaties want to go out in. Getting hooves trimmed isn’t the funnest thing for them either. Some of the kiddos handle it better than others. Luckily, we have the kindest, skilled pig and goat farrier who genuinely cares about the animals. Message me if you want her #. It is a great feeling to know everyone has happy, healthy feet. I can’t go buy hay today. We got zero donations yesterday. A truck load of hay is 12 bales that we got on Thursday thanks to our awesome FB supporters. That’s 2.5 days worth of hay. We have no hay fund cushion. We have 3 bales for this morning. Our hay posts always get suppressed. Our social media fundraisers have been under a hundred raised almost every time for the last 6 months. We really need a miracle here. Every little bit helps. Every friend you tell helps. Isn’t watching an animal eat just wonderful. This is Hope. She is very demure and soft-spoken. She’s lived at Cloven Heart since 2019. She grew up here. We are looking forward to watching her grow old, since most cows don’t get to do that. This is part of what sanctuary is all about. Animals should get live a happy and safe life for their whole life regardless of species. Your support means we can keep helping animals, like Hope.

A Humble Little Farm

The dream had always been to find a little piece of dirt so that we could start to save animals. We wanted to provide a home, a safe place, a love story for all of the little creatures that needed a family, acceptance, nurturing. Our number one rule is that we treat each other like we love each other. Amazingly, every animal that has been saved over the last two years have adopted each other as family. They play, they eat, they drink, they forage, they graze, they rest all together as a loving unit. Every animal has a unique personality and quirks and they all deserved to be treated better than they were in their previous lives. At Cloven Heart, we are all about restoring dignity to their lives, saving them from abuse, neglect, slaughter, and healing their broken bodies and souls. Animals are used. Period. Their bodies and their spirits are wrecked by a civilization that believes they have the right to. Worldwide, there is an epidemic of cruelty towards animals. We hope to change the world. We hope to change a life. By saving these animals, we are showing them that although they were hurt they can heal and be strong again, that although they were used they can find peace and respect, that although they were abandoned they are loved and can trust again, that although they were sad and confused by the cruelty of their previous life, at Cloven Heart they are safe and have a loving home and for the rest of their lives they will know nothing but love, happiness, and family.
