We need hay. Our hay funds are exhausted. Between vet care, meds, supplements, sick and hurt animals, everything is exhausted. We are exhausted. We need 42 bales weekly but we need more help than getting by week to week. So please send hay. Please become a monthly supporter. Your actions matter to these animals. We have lots of eggs that we feed back to the animals. Everyone seems to agree that they are yummy. The pigs, the dogs, the chickens. Wind storm

Our chicken coop is demolished. Late afternoon yesterday, we suffered a severe wind storm. Lots of dust swirled all around. Hard to believe but it wasn’t a tornado. All of our structures were tested and some failed. Many trees and branches fallen. Many of the rescues were upset and scared, but they huddled together for safety. Everyone is ok. All of this was followed by heavy rain. We are experiencing so many first in Texas. 8 years here and never had this before. We’re going to need to get someone out here to help with the bigger trees. Thank you if you can help us cover the costs. Luckily, we have a volunteer day tomorrow and we can get the smaller stuff taken care of. A Humble Little Farm

The dream had always been to find a little piece of dirt so that we could start to save animals. We wanted to provide a home, a safe place, a love story for all of the little creatures that needed a family, acceptance, nurturing. Our number one rule is that we treat each other like we love each other. Amazingly, every animal that has been saved over the last two years have adopted each other as family. They play, they eat, they drink, they forage, they graze, they rest all together as a loving unit. Every animal has a unique personality and quirks and they all deserved to be treated better than they were in their previous lives. At Cloven Heart, we are all about restoring dignity to their lives, saving them from abuse, neglect, slaughter, and healing their broken bodies and souls. Animals are used. Period. Their bodies and their spirits are wrecked by a civilization that believes they have the right to. Worldwide, there is an epidemic of cruelty towards animals. We hope to change the world. We hope to change a life. By saving these animals, we are showing them that although they were hurt they can heal and be strong again, that although they were used they can find peace and respect, that although they were abandoned they are loved and can trust again, that although they were sad and confused by the cruelty of their previous life, at Cloven Heart they are safe and have a loving home and for the rest of their lives they will know nothing but love, happiness, and family.
