Yesenia once served Anaheim as a police officer. After experiencing a series of traumatic events, she found herself hitting rock bottom. Through the help of Paws 4 Success Chino Hills-Rebel Ranch, Yesenia found new purpose in living. She now serves as the organization’s Program Director, assisting other first responders and military veterans find their own purpose. She is running a marathon in May with hopes of raising money to sponsor three heroes through the 10-week Equine Assisted Learning program at Paws 4 Success-Rebel Ranch. Please read her bio and consider donating to this worthy cause. One of our goals is to never turn away a client due to lack of funds. How can Horses 4 Heroes help teenagers with Socialization?

Equine-assisted learning (EAL) involves interactions with horses for personal growth and development. It can indeed help with socialization in several ways:

1. Non-judgmental environment: Horses provide a non-judgmental and safe space where individuals can practice social interactions without fear of criticism or rejection. This can help build self-confidence and reduce anxiety associated with social situations.

2. Building trust and empathy: Working with horses requires developing trust and understanding their nonverbal cues. This process helps individuals improve their ability to read and respond to others' emotions, fostering empathy and better communication skills.

We are honored to have been given the opportunity to present at this years Public Safety Peer Support Association Wellness on the Frontline Conference! 🚓🚒 We shared our incredible Horses 4 Heroes Equine Assisted Learning program, which has touched many lives.

Last week, the Healthy RC Mental Health Subcommittee and Healthy RC Campeones Para La Comunidad visited us at Paws 4 Success to learn about our Horses 4 Heroes Equine-Assisted Learning Program. Two previous clients of our program also spoke about the life-changing benefits they received.

We hope this visit will pave the way for more individuals throughout our communities to experience the life-changing benefits of our equine-assisted learning program.
