Keep your fur baby safe by putting them inside the car 🚙🐶.

With the nicer weather...Every year, about 100,000 dogs die because they ride in the back of trucks. And that’s just the number of dogs that die—even more get badly hurt.

Truck beds don’t protect dogs from the weather. On hot days, the metal floor can get so hot it burns their paws or skin. If a dog is left in the sun without water or shade, it can get heatstroke very quickly.

Even though dogs might look happy with the wind in their faces, dirt, dust, and other stuff in the air can hurt their eyes, ears, and lungs.

Never tie your dog to the truck bed. If the dog falls or jumps out, it could get strangled by the leash. This can happen in an accident or even if the dog just tries to jump out.

If your dog has to ride in the back of a truck, put it in a crate. Make sure the crate is tied down tightly so it can’t move around or fall out. This will help protect your dog from the wind and weather.

I finally found a bowl that keeps his ears out of his food the majority of the time…. For those with fur babies with floppy ears this bowl is great and it has that bottom piece which keeps it from sliding around on smooth surfaces. Banjo can be some what of a picky eater. He would turn his nose up to his food. With his HOMEMADE wet food this guy can’t wait to dig in and comes back a few times to see if it magically got refilled or if he maybe missed something when he stepped away from it! 😂😂🤣🤣. He will also make sure he doesn’t miss those morsels he may have dropped along side his table 😂😂🤣🤣🐶🐾 🥘.

My mom says she's more stressed than me when she has to take me for my pawdicure 🐾. I was shaking in the truck as mom put me in and got me out! I survived another visit at the groomers. 🙄🐾🫤

Someone who shall remain “anonymous“ but might be in the photo below 🤣😂🤦🏻‍♀️🐶 decided upon himself….to help himself to a brownie I left on my ottoman “unattended” because I’ve never had any food stealers before. So when I realized he was even more quieter than normal… I caught him in the act of just finishing up the crumbs he made.

I had a vet appointment this morning. Mom took me to a new vet that a lot of people here in the city love and highly recommend. Mom said she felt like she was the one with the appointment. The Dr. was not putting up with my reactive behavior and put me in my place. Last vet visit mom was told I have a grade 3-4 heart murmur and the Dr confirmed this and told mom she should schedule an appointment with a cardiologist so she knows where she stands in the event I need to have any type of procedure done. My ears were good 👍 mom was worried about those. I guess it wasn’t so bad as my Dr said. 🐶🥲☺️. Mom got scolded in a very nice way on how to handle my craziness (reactive behavior) which mom told the Dr it doesn’t happen often.

Today Buster is celebrating his birthday 🎂 in Heaven. Buster was such a character. For those who got to know him over the years he lived to entertain. He loved BIG and enjoyed meeting people young and old. He was my soul mate for 15.9 years always ready for whatever I wanted. Puppy, 🐶 precious me and your brother Banjo wish you a very happy birthday! I hope you’re having all the bones, cake and love from nana and grandpa. We love and miss you.

Today I’m getting my nails done at home! Mama’s excited because she won’t have to lug my ramp and trampoline in the car. She said this is a good idea, because as I get older I won’t be able to go up my ramp and she won’t be able to get me in the car. I’m excited because I don’t have to wear my harness! 🤦🏻‍♀️🚙🐾 🐶
