✨Meet our Pets of the Week: Francine and Avicci ✨

🐱Francine: If you’re searching for a sweet and mellow cat, Francine is the one for you. Though she’s a bit on the shy side, she has always been gentle and loving with the staff. Francine would thrive in a quiet home with cozy spots where she can hide and feel safe while adjusting to her new surroundings. She’s 4 years old, spayed, and ready for a fresh start. Because of her shy nature, she’s often overlooked, but we’re hopeful that someone will see her potential and give her the loving home she deserves.

🐶 Avicci: The staff is eagerly hoping someone will open their heart to our sweet Avicci. He’s currently our longest resident, approaching nine months at the shelter. This is unfortunately his second stay with us, and in total, he’s spent nearly two years here. While Avicci needs to be the only pet in the home, we promise he’ll give you more than enough love to make up for it!

Our new slogan after today… “If dogs and staff can jump the fence, it’s too short!”

On the last day of our match, Siren, one of our hounds, reminded us how much we need new fencing as she jumped the fence and escaped into the field. Fortunately she came back to staff fairly quickly.

‼️TWO DAYS LEFT‼️

Northwestern Bank has teamed up with us through December 14th. Northwestern Bank has committed a $5,000 Giving Tuesday matching gift towards our dog fencing upgrade! They’ll match your gift dollar for dollar up to $5000!
The fencing will divide our dog yard into four separate sections and raise the height of the fencing.

🐾 Our current fence is only 5 feet tall, a taller fence will keep our dogs contained and safe.

🐾 This fence has been through a lot…dogs chewing on it, the weather/basic wear and tear. We’ve had to patch a ton of holes in the fence.

🐾 Splitting up the fence will give us a quarantine yard for new arrivals, and allow multiple dogs to be outside at once, allowing for more outdoor/enrichment time and it’ll make cleaning more efficient for staff.

We are hiring Animal Care Assistants and are offering walk-in interviews this Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM at the shelter. 10501 County Hwy S, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 ~1 mile past the Edge Restaurant. You can help our homeless animals have a clean, caring space to live while they await their homes and make some money, too! Starting salary is $13.00/hr.

✨Meet Our Pets of the Week: Nimbus and Ares✨

☁️Nimbus: This handsome gentleman has been waiting for his forever home since he came in as a stray back in September. At 8 years old, he’s often overlooked, but he has so much love to give! He is a mellow cat that would love a home he can lounge around in. Could you be the one to give him the second chance he deserves?

🐶Ares: This affectionate and loyal dog is currently in foster care and still looking for his forever home! Ares is doing great with both the kids and other dogs in the household.

However, Ares is a bit protective of his home, so he tends to be wary when visitors come by. Due to this, we’re requiring a $100 training deposit upon adoption, which will help him work on his socialization and make him feel more comfortable with new faces. With the right training, we know Ares will continue to thrive and show his true, loving personality.
