It is GiveMN month and we have a fundraiser campaign for vet bills WITH A MATCH! Thank you to everyone who has donated so far!
📣The Joey Jerkovich challenge begins! He will match every dollar up to $2,000!
All funds raised with this campaign goes directly to our vet bills.
Vet bills we have:
🐱Warrior- he was hit by a car and left on the road. A concerned citizen saw him, called the PD and he was brought to us on a Sunday at 9 pm. We rushed him that night to our vet. He had a broken and dislocated jaw which had to be wired, damage to his right eye that he can no longer see out of and deep lacerations behind his right ear. Vet bills include emergency visit, neuter, vaccinations, wired jaw and removal, X-rays, multiple vet visits throughout his recovery and medicine.
🐱Cheddar- he was bright to us by the PD and could not use his back legs. He would scoot all over and not walk. We rushed him to the vet the same day. Two x-rays didn't show anything, bloodwork was fine and it he was put on Prednisone, pain meds and blood clot medicine. He started walking a little more but not like he should. A spinal X-ray was done on 10/31/25 and we are waiting for results. If that doesn't work, an MRI/CT scan would be done and that can be $1,500-$2,500. Vet bills include emergency visit, 2 X-rays, blood work, multiple vet visits, medicine and a spinal X-ray.
🐱Mama Lizzy and her babies- mama Lizzie came to us pregnant and the next day she had 4 babies! A few days later, one baby passed. Vet bills will include her spay, vaccinations, microchip, all 3 babies spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchips along with cremation of her little baby done by our vet.
🐱We also have 7 kittens who will be getting their spay/neuters, vaccinations and microchips throughout December and January.
🐶Izzy- she came to us after her stray hold. She is a 12-year-old senior dog who is on medicine for dry eye and a foot infection. She has to have her spay and microchip yet. She had her rabies shot. Vet bills include her vet visits, medicine, vaccination, upcoming spay with a possible fix of a hernia that was not repaired, and microchip.
Your support allows us to continue creating a kinder, more loving world for our rescues, giving them the second chances they deserve. Our main priority is to have healthy cats and dogs for adoption and with an in-house vet tech, a close working relationship with our shelter vet, a shelter manager who makes sure all animals have everything they need, and a staff of caring and dedicated volunteers- all allows us to do this.
