When Miss Emma isn't laying on backs during yoga, she can be found laying on her cat tree!

Emma is a 7/8 year old Siamese who came to us weighing 4 pounds and very skinny/malnourished. We do know she had 7 litters of kittens. Many vet runs and lots of medicine over the course of 4 months has finally paid off. Emma is finally gaining weight (we do weekly checks) and soon will be able to be spayed.

When Emma isn't relaxing, she likes to eat other cats food, sniff other cats (but they cannot sniff her), play with wand toys (her favorite) and loves getting her treats. She knows she is the princess of the shelter and is not afraid to let it be known! 👑

Isn't she beautiful? 😻

When the sun comes through the windows you can guarantee that Huck will be there! ☀️

Huck is part of the bonded pair with Mickey. They have been here since January (Malia is also their sister). You can tell when a kitten doesn't have much human interaction, if at all. They are timid, back away from you, hiss and even hide.

These guys huddled into a corner together in a double kennel while being quarantined when they first arrived. Huck protected Mickey by being in front of him.

It took months for us to work with them- to even be able to sit in the same kennel area without them hiding. Patience and determination were the two words that described everyone working with them.

Fast forward to today- Huck loves to be pet and we can even pick him up if need be. Mickey is finally letting volunteers touch him on his back (quickly) and loves to play with wand toys with them!

Our goal is to find them a forever home because cat's true personalities come out in a home and trust us, these two are worth it!

‼️Monday Update- Warrior had his feeding tube removed Friday and he ate on his own all weekend. Our vet will be wiring his jaw this week. This will help to start the healing process. This is great news!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
‼️Thursday Update- Warrior is not eating at this time. A feeding tube will be used. He is still very swollen but is slowly improving.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Wednesday Update- Warrior was put on stronger pain medicine. He may be losing his right eye and he is still very swollen. He is getting lots of loves and pets ❤️

We are almost to our goal! Thank you to everyone who has donated and/or shared! We couldn't do this without you! 😻

Warrior Needs Your Help!

On the late evening of 9/7/25, our shelter manager received a call from the police about a cat being hit by a car. We rushed down to the shelter and saw the horrible condition Warrior was in. Our vet responded to our late call and we brought him to Northland Animal Hospital.

Upon seeing Warrior, it was determined his jaw was broke/dislocated, his right eye had damage (it would not close or move), there was a deep injury to the right side of his neck, he was bleeding through his mouth and nose, and he wasn't moving his neck. His lungs sounded good which is a great sign. Pain meds and antibiotics were given and he was put in an oxygen tank overnight.

Today (Tuesday, 9/9), we were told he did eat a little but is still extremely swollen. Once the swelling is down, he will have Xrays & scans. The main concern is his jaw and any brain/bone damage.

Warrior is not microchipped or neutered. He had many previous wounds that look like he has been on his own for a long time. However, we if he could be your cat, please contact our shelter at 218-254-3300.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Warrior's medical treatments. If you would rather donate to his vet directly, you can go to Northland Animal Hospital in Virginia and put Warrior's Medical Treatment in the memo area of your check.

We also are accepting any donations to his care in person at our shelter (Monday-Friday, 11-2), through mail: Precious Paws, 101 SW 1st Ave, Chisholm, MN 55719 or you can make a donation with a debit/credit card by phone: 218-254-3300.

Thank you for your continued support!

We want to thank Northland Animal Hospital and Dr. Brian Aluni for the compassion and care of Warrior.

🧘What a great Sunday afternoon spent with the cats! Cat Yoga was a success! 🐱

A huge thank you to Angela Tresemer! I am so happy we finally got this class to happen! Angela also teaches water aerobics, Zumba and Pilates. Her positive and outgoing personality makes her the perfect fitness coach!

Here are her current fitness classes (and see her flyer in the photo's below):

Thank you to Diane T. for helping with the cats during the class. We had our own work out chasing the baby kittens!!

And a huge thank you to everyone who came to the class! What fun was had and each cat's personality's (and Emma's no care in where she decided to sit) was so fun to watch. Big Al got his workout too. We are so happy you were able to join this class!

We hope to do another cat yoga in the near future! Stay tuned!

Big Al is showing you one of the poses you will do at yoga today- it's called the Big Al Reclining position. 🧘

Cat nip one usually used but he insisted it relaxes his inner-self.
