On Friday we had this beauty join us as a barn cat. She is so sweet and a unique cat. She is a Hemingway, has two different color eyes and is polydactyl cat. Her name is Junie and we cannot wait to let her out with the other barn kitties.

Tiny HoovZ has been open for two years now and we have had so many intakes. Having a rescue is rewarding, but stressful at times. Your life is no longer yours, you skip taking vacations and your revolve around the care of the animals. Then add the constant expenses of vet and farrier care that is an absolute must. Yesterday we had B & C Farrier Service come to trim hooves for 11 piggies and then our vet, Elisha came out to complete vaccinations on 25 piggies.

Last week we received a call about a piglet that was running loose. We went to see if we could catch her, but she was not having it. We left a trap and a kennel with the people that reported her and let them know if they catch it call us and we would come get it. It's been about 10 days since she was first spotted and tonight she walked right in the kennel.

This is Coco, she is about three or four months old and will need to be spayed soon. The cost of her spay and immunizations will be approximately $400. If you would like to donate towards her spay and immunizations you can donate via PayPal or Venmo

This sweet boy celebrated his 2nd birthday yesterday. Willie is the sweetest boy, is typically up to no good, but can always put a smile on your face.

Sunday was spa day for some of our piggies and our two horses. We love our farriers from B & C Farrier Services, they do an amazing job and they may even exercise your horses for you.

Once again we have taken in another sweet piggie that someone felt it was okay to just abandon him when they moved away. This sweet boy, who we have named Sheldon has been living on his own for at least 30 days, maybe longer. We were contacted by a neighbor when Sheldon began getting into his cow pastures and shorting out the fences. Thankfully we have him now at the rescue.We estimate him to be less than a year old. We will get him neutered and up to date on immunizations, then he will be available for adoption.
If you would like to contribute to Sheldon's vet cost it would be greatly appreciated. His vet bill will be approximately $500.

Winnie the Pig loves her exercise ball. She loved the last one so much she poked a hole in it. Now she has a purple one fit for a princess.

Today we spent most of the morning in the barn preparing for the chilly temps we are going to have over the next several days. While we were working we decided to bring out one of our torpedo heaters. We had the best laugh when we looked over at the male piglets kennel. These were over a span of about 20 minutes. They do have a house with straw and a heat lamp.

Meet Megan, she is one of the five we recently took in. She is absolutely adorable and loves to follow us around the barn. She will be available for adoption in mid December.

Today was spa day for the five piggies that we took in a couple of days ago. To say their hooves and tusks had been neglected is an understatement. No worries though, Brandi with B & C Farrier Services came out and made everyone feel so much better.

Never let your animals get to the point shown in the pictures, ask for help. Tusk and hooves like this are painful to the animals.

Hubby has been busy getting the barn ready for the really cold Temps tonight. All of the piggies are enjoying their heat lamps.

The rescue has been busy getting ready for the cooler temperatures. Making sure all the piggies have a heat lamp for their house, doing thorough stall cleaning with fresh bedding, adding blankets for the piggies to snuggle under. Next we will be purchasing straw to pack their houses when the temperatures drop lower. With colder weather comes higher electricity bills, more money going out for veggies because there won't be as much fresh grass.

I say all of this to remind you if you have old blankets that you would like to donate let us know we will make arrangements to pick them up. Today we took in the most beautiful girl, her name is Winnie. She is so sweet, she has already laid down for a belly rub, found the pool in the paddock, met her barn mates and her female piglet neighbors. She is going to fit in just fine. Once Winnie had been seen by the vet and deemed adoptable she will be looking for her forever home.

Yesterday our rescue grew by two. We welcomed two new boys. Their names are Chip and Otis. They will be available for adoption after they are neutered and recovered. Chip is brown and Otis is black.

Today was pedicure day at the rescue. We are so thankful for Freedom Acres Ranch for their services. It is so much easier to have them come out twice a year to take care of hooves and tusks than taking piggies to the vet one or two at a time.

We are so excited for Miss Piggy. She came to us in February of this year and today she was adopted by her forever family. Kristi and Shane adopted Miss Piggy. At her new home she has a sister named Pickles as well as lots of donkey friends. She will also become an indoor piggie once again where she will live her best life.

Thank you Kristi and Shane for adopting her, we know she will be taken care of and given the love and attention she deserves.
