Today we learned a lot!
#1.) Yearling bulls are strong and during castration, things escalate quickly!
#2.) Thanks to watching Dr Sandra Lee aka drpimplepopper our girls still think testicles are keloids. We know the conversation is coming. 😳🤣🤣
#3.) We have great neighbors that are always willing to help.
#4.) Blue Kote antiseptic spray does not wash off easily.

Who wants half a beef cow?
Currently our Angus/Herford calves are 5 months old. They will be processed and ready for pickup in June of 2024. They will be 23ish months old. We’ve processed beef cows at 17 months and we were disappointed with the lack of marbling and size. We’ve found the sweet spot to be 22 to 26 months old when it comes to weight and marbling. They will be raised 100% on grass and then grain finished during the last 90 days to help with marbling and flavor. To secure your beef portion, a $500.00 deposit will be required.
