It was quite literally just a few minutes ago that I was made aware of this. Andrew is my closest brother in age and he has refused to accept contact from most of our family for quite a few years. I just hope he knows that I still love him and desire a relationship, and I only want the best for him.
If I have ever made a positive impact in your life, and you wish to do something for me this Christmas, please help my brother during this rough patch. If you cannot help financially, please share this far and wide.
Andrew, if you see this, my number has not changed, I am willing to do what I can to try to help in any way.

Here is my other page, for my T. Rex project, if anyone is interested in watching this program progress.

What in the world is a T. Rex rabbit, you ask?
It’s a hybrid of Tamuk with Rex, and I am focusing on this project in my barn in order to attain the following:

-Rex fur for pelt production
-Tamuk heat tolerance for here in the Appalachian humid summer heat
-High growth rate and correct conformation
-Reduce the age at which Rex become fertile
-Keep sore hocks out of the lines

Give my other page a follow and share if you are curious for later results. 😊

Eight fat gorgeous babies in my sallander Rex doe’s nest tonight. Sire is my gorgeous huge Tamuk-C buck, Evil Bunny’s Big Iron. I’ll be watching for a nice buck to cross back to some of my F2 does.

Three pretty does from Cherry x Roar. Tamuk-C with a smidge of Tamuk-NZW in Cherry. Dam’s first litter born at 6 months old, litter of 7, all 7 have survived and thrived. Dam was over 8lbs by 5 months old. She is also the absolute SWEETEST Tamuk in the barn. If you’ve been waiting on a doe from me, these 3 are going to be the kind! Photos were taken at 6 week weight checks, they are ready to hop next week. Pm me and let me know which one you’d like to be your next best producer.

One of the most important aspects of raising any livestock, what kind of hay are you feeding?
Do you know what kind of chemicals go on that hay before it is cut?
Do you know what kind of ground it is grown in?

I was raised in Horse Country, uppity northern Virginia. I began working for various stables when I was 12 years young. One of the very first things I learned to be imperative to a breeding operation, was NO FESCUE… this is the most drought tolerant grass that is commonly grown in the eastern US.

Also known as KY31, fescue has a little bug called an endophyte, which blocks most animal’s absorption of a key reproductive mineral called selenium. US farmers raise multiple species of stock that are incredibly sensitive to a lack of selenium.

In horses, fescue can and will cause abortions, lack of milk production, foal malformations, dystocia (difficulty delivering), weak foals, and other issues. Goats and sheep have parallel problems when eating only fescue aka “mixed grass” hay OR green pasture.

In rabbits, fescue will absolutely be the culprit in months or even years of infertility. Our little bunny friends are so sensitive to the right balance in their gut, that fescue will cause bucks temporary infertility, and does will refuse to lift or their bodies just will not take upon being bred.

If you can, I recommend digging deeper into your local Agricultural Department and finding out what minerals your soil is deficient in. Most states websites have links to maps that you can explore without even having to make a phone call.

Ask your local farmers if their mixed grass contains fescue. If so, ask for plain orchard or timothy, or further south, bermuda or bahaia. Find a small local farm store that sells No fescue, OR endophyte FREE fescue (this seed is known as EF, and is usually about triple the price than regular ky31).

These two girls have me on pins and needles!!!! I’ve been waiting for ONO’s babies for TWO months now, since she didn’t take to Big Iron last month. He WAS only 4 months old when I first tried the pairing 😂 but I do believe she’s got some popcorn in the oven this time!!!
Niner…. My sweet dear daughter of the late great TenFour, is bred to a big, fast growth Tamuk-C x Tamuk-NZW buck from my original lines.
Evil Bunny’s Akasha kindled 9 last night, out of my big Roar-y boy.
Finally might get to stock the freezer….
