The dream

It’s 92° outside .. super hot for us. Not a single bird panting. We love our wonderful old barn for protecting our critters so well in all types of weather. It was restored once in its lifetime and the roof has a layer below the metal that keeps it insulated. As the temps drop in the afternoon we open the four huge doors along the north side and the breeze makes for lovely evenings. My little slice of heaven.

Today we say goodbye to Sheila, the Matriarch of my flock. She was the best Auntie my flock could have asked for- looking out for Genevieve's chicks as though they were hers. She will be missed.
