Happy National Swimming Pool Day! Here are some tips to keep your pets safe when splashing around in the pool:

1. Practice swimming with them until they become stronger swimmers.
2. Consider purchasing a pet-safe life vest.
3. Install a pet-proof, safety fence and alarm system.
4. Train your pet to use the pool stairs/ramp to jump out on their own.
5. Never leave your pet unattended in the pool!
6. Avoid letting your pet drink large amounts of pool water.
7. Rinse your pet after swimming to remove all the harsh pool chemicals.
