FDA issues avian flu prevention guidance for pet owners...

The FDA is providing pet owners and animal caretakers with information about ways to reduce the risk to their animals of contracting HPAI (H5N1).

As the Holidays quickly approach, we have some updates on our hours and closings for the end of 2024. We also have a couple of changes to our schedule for 2025.
Beginning in January CVH hours will be 8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday.
We will be open 1-2 Saturdays each month. Dates will vary, so please call our office for information and to schedule appointments.
Thank you in advance for your understanding. We look forward to helping you keep your pets happy and healthy in 2025 and beyond!

Dec. 18th - closing at 4:00pm for staff party

CVH will be closing at 2:00pm on Wednesday, November 27th to allow our staff to prepare for Thanksgiving! We will reopen for regular hours on Friday, November 29th.

Rounding out our amazing group of technicians, meet Hannah and Stephanie! They are passionate and dedicated to helping all of our patients and supporting our doctors. We are so grateful for all of our team members - we couldn't do it with out you all!

Hannah joined our team about three years ago. She is kind, hard-working, and takes great care of her patients. She is especially fond of the feline species! In her spare time she enjoys cooking and spending time with friends.

Stephanie is more than just our Lead Vet Tech. She is our on-site supervisor, teacher/trainer extraordinaire, holiday gathering organizer/hostess, staff breakfast cooker, advocate/therapist/friend to the entire staff, right hand/couldn't-do-it-without-her person to our doctors, on-site comic relief, and dedicated, passionate advocate for all our clients and patients. We definitely could not do what we do without her!
Stephanie says she finds it most rewarding caring for hospitalized patients that need significant attention. She is grateful to be part of a team that provides the best care to our patients. In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors and with friends.

Our most sincere thanks to all our technicians and assistants, this week and every day!

Our Veterinary Technicians play a pivotal role in making sure our patients receive the absolute best care. They are phlebotomists, anesthesiologists, oral hygienists, therapists, radiology techs, and healing hearts that truly love animals. We are so grateful for their hard work and dedication - we couldn’t do it without them!!

Rylee joined our team almost a year and a half ago. She is funny and always works hard to provide great care to all of the patients. She hopes to continue improving her skills and providing excellent care to her patients. In her spare time she enjoys finishing and bird watching

Ashley joined our team two years ago. She started with little experience and has blossomed into a very caring and compassionate technician. She hopes to continue gaining experience and one day go off to vet school. When she’s not working or in class, she enjoys spending time with her friends and going to the beach.

Destiny joined our team almost two years ago. She is always willing to help and provides us with a good laugh. She hopes to continue working in vet med, and would like to become a veterinary technician one day. In her spare time she enjoys four-wheeling and pet sitting.

Traci joined our team almost two years ago. Her bubbly personality and bight smile always makes the day better. She hopes to continue learning new skills and provide excellent care to all the patients. In her spare time she enjoys painting and going to different coffee shops.

Karen joined our team about a year and half ago. She is kind and is always ready to lend a hand where needed. She hopes to continue in the vet field and one day become a veterinarian. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and reading new books.

CVH will be closed Wednesday 10/9 in preparation for Milton. Thursday and Friday hours will depend on the storm's path - if we have power and if our staff is able to travel safely.
We are hoping for the best, trying to prepare for anything worse. If you need pet food or medications will be open tomorrow 8:00-5:00, unless conditions deteriorate and require us to close earlier.

CVH will be closing at 12:00pm on Wednesday, September 25th.
We plan to resume regular hours on Thursday, September 26th.
We will be monitoring Tropical Storm/Hurricane Helene and will close if our area is expected to have significant impact.
Please call or message though Pet Desk if you need to reschedule an appointment or verify hours of operation.
The Veterinary Emergency Clinic in Casselberry is open 24hrs, and should remain open during the storm, if your pet requires medical attention while CVH is closed. They can be reached at 407-644-4449.

Due to an unexpected change in plans, CVH will be closed tomorrow, Saturday, September 21. We apologize for any inconvenience and will be open again on Monday at 8 AM!
